Introduction:

ALL CHARACTERS BELONG TO SHANNON MESSENGER UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED.

Sophie Foster. The Moonlark. The 'hero'. But she's scared. Scared that one of her friends won't wake up. Scared that another may never return. Scared that another will change. Scared for the future.

Keefe. Lord Hunkyhair himself. He feels helpless. Helpless to care for those he loves.

Fitz Vacker. The Golden Boy. He's angry. Anger always came easily to him. But he wants to stop it before he lashes out at those he loves.

Biana Vacker. The Princess. She's hurt. They'd come so close to saving someone she cared about dearly. And when they were taken away, she knew the scar left on her heart would never heal.

Dex Dizznee. The Tech Wizard. He's confused. What had gone wrong? Why did everything seem wrong?

Linh Song. The Girl of Many Floods. She feels empty. A part of her was stolen. And nothing seemed to fill the gap in her soul like he had.

Marella Redek. The Fiery Gossip. She's rejected. All she wanted was to be a part of something. Her ability had gotten her closer to that. But now, it was like it was shoved back into her face.

Wylie Endal. The Once Confident Flasher. He feels loved again. His father was back. But he's worried that others he cares about will be taken from him once again.

Stina Heks. The Bully. She's worried. Worried that she'll be misunderstood once again. She's changed. But not everyone knows that.

The Starlit Festival is upon the elves, but when they get hints that the Neverseen is watching them, the elves must use everything in their power to make sure that the festival is not sabotaged. Without putting together the pieces, the Lost Cities may be doomed once and for all.

When Sophie is put between two rocks and a hard place, she must decide which pieces of the chess board are to emerge victorious... and which pieces to sacrifice. But once you hit bedrock, the only path is to build back up.

Takes place after Unlocked and where it left off, and is the sequel to my SoTam story.

I am so sorry for not updating Differences, not uploading my TLOS fanfiction, and not working on the sequel!!!

It seems I'm cycling around my fandoms once again, and I'm back to KotLC. (I've figured out my cycle. It's KotLC, PJO / HOO, Kane Chronicles (KC), TLOS, Spy School, REPEAT)

But before you go, "Ew, it's a SoTam fanfic. Just look at the title!" it's not all about the ship.

In my conversations page and at the end of chapters (or a separate chapter), there will be votes. Some of these votes are useless, while others will contribute to the story! (examples of this are ship votes (useful) or favorite ability (may or may not be useful)

There won't really be one. If I'm to be honest, there is always the chance this fanfiction will go on hiatus, just like the Differences one. I plan to come back to that one eventually.

But I'll make a goal for an upload schedule, and that will be 1-3 times a week hopefully! *crosses fingers*

Q&A if you want to figure out if you're interested in this fanfiction:

Q: Is this a ship fanfiction?
A: Nope. There will be ships, but it's not centered around one. This is PLOT.

Q: When does this take place?
A: It says in the description, but if you don't read the fine print, it takes place right after Unlocked.

Q: Will there be any triggers?
A: I don't really know what's considered a trigger, so please let me know if one is and I'll add a warning.

Q: What's the word goal per chapter?
A: I'm hoping for at least 1000 words but no more than 4000.

Q: Which PoV is this in?
A: It will switch, but I hope to keep this in Sophie's PoV as much as possible!

Q: Is anybody dead?
A: Not yet... (sorry just had to add that ;))

Q: Should I vote on the chapters, comment, and follow AlwaysStaySunny777?

I should also probably add that if there is a slow down in chapters, it is likely because of three things.

I got busy

My friends keep bullying me about reading and writing fanfictions (definitely not looking at you DuckySwoosh and my other friend who doesn't use Wattpad)

I'm brainstorming ideas
