The rest of the afternoon went smoothly. We finished our drinks, and caught up more. I told him about Collei, and how many withering zones there have been lately, and he told me how his investigations have been going. We decided that we would work together, considering I needed more recruits for the forest rangers, and he was practically just bored out of his skull, and had nobody to play genius invokation TCG with. On my way home, I couldn't stop thinking about how right it felt to hug him. I've always felt comfortable with him, but I've never felt so comfortable with anybody, especially after only reuniting with them after years. I'm not one to let my guard down- so what is this feeling?"

Cyno POV

oh my Archons what mess have I gotten into this time. He hugged me just like everyone else normally would, but why did it affect me so much more??? Why did his comforting words make me want to melt into a warm puddle of fluff and hug him forever like a teddy bear? It's been forever since I've loved someone, and if I were to even love someone again, it wouldn't happen THIS quickly. There's something special about this boy, and that special something just makes me long for more of him each time I see him. It's like I want to give him everything I have, like I want his eyes and ears to remain on me every minute I'm with him. It's like i want to gatekeep him from the world.

Today Cyno is supposed to come over for Training. It's going to be interesting, since he typically uses a polearm instead of a bow. But I'm excited because it means we can catch up more! I'd love to see his physical skills after such a long time. He should be here at around 12:00 pm. It's currently 10:00 am, so he should be here in about 2 hours.

While waiting for cyno, I think I should prepare the training area. Collei and the other rangers are currently in patrol, so it's just me right now. I started to put up the targets and pull out the bows, but then I felt a pair of hands wrap around my face. "Guess who?" The voice said. "Cyno??" I said as I spun around. He's about an hour early, but I'm not complaining. Just means we can have more quality time together. "You got it! Need any help?" He asked. I nodded, and he helped me set up the rest of the equipment.

"Would you like to start training early? I would be your instructor for now since the other rangers are out on expedition." "Gladly, I'm excited to learn how you guys do things." He said while smiling. I slightly blushed at his facial expression, and went to get the bows and arrows. I instructed him on how the mechanics of a bow work. "Well first, you rest the end of the tip of the arrow on the string nock. Then, you use two fingers to pull back on the arrow string. You aim through the point of the arrow and shoot!" He nodded, and I let him practice. No offense, but he sucked at archery. All of his arrows either hit the white part of the target, or didn't hit the target at all. "No silly, you're doing it wrong. Here, let me help." I said as I walked over to him and held his arms, and positioned him correctly. I was so close to him, and I could feel it getting hot. "You want to position yourself correctly, do the arrow will actually hit the target." I moved his hands and pulled the arrow back with him. I didn't feel myself becoming flirty, because I only realized I whispered to him after he shot the arrow. "Go ahead, hit the bullseye" I said while continuously blushing. He shot the arrow and surprisingly, it was an inch away from the bullseye. I let go of him awkwardly and backed up. "Amazing! You're a natural!" I exclaimed. "Only because I had your outstanding assistance!" He said and winked. I blushed a little more and turned my head. "l-let's just keep doing exercises until the others come back..." I said. He felt his face get smug in my stomach and it gave me butterflies. Oh Great Archons, why is my heart like this.
