24 years ago my planet, krypton, was in serious peril.
My best friends cousin was getting sent to a plant called earth for his own safety and protection. You may know his story. The story you don't know is that me and my Best friend Kara was sent to protect him.
Or that's what I was told at least but it wasn't true.

Things didn't exactly go according to my mother's plan
Krypton's destruction sent a shock wave that knocked mine and Kara's pod off course and into the phantom zone. A region in space where time doesn't pass.
We slept there for 24 years until somehow I got here. When I arrived I was still a 16 year old boy I looked around and saw no one until the boy I was told to protect was grown up and revealed himself as Superman
He took me to see Kara but I didn't want to be normal I wanted to stay with Kal-el and be a hero like him
So he agreed to take me in but I would still have to go to school while he trained me
So now I am a hero helping him we are both reporters at the daily planet a lot of people know us mainly me
And Kara is in national city she doesn't use her powers she wants a normal life for now

Right now I am walking into work while texting Kara to have a good day
I haven't went to see her in two months because my jobs have been hard for a while
