As soon as the ladies got out of the Uber vehicle and bid the driver goodbye, they quickly made their way to the grocery section of the store.

"I wonder what the other Kingsley brother looks like." Mel began as she picked up a bag of Salmon from the Frozen section.

Angel shrugged, "Probably looks like his brother."

Mel made a face. "I doubt he has Hano's nasty and womanizing behavior."

"Probably does." Angel replied as she moved the buggy towards the meat section.

"Why so negative?" Mel asked as she took a look at her paper list, her attention fully on the things they have to get.

Angel rolled her eyes. "I'm just being realistic, Mel. If he's a son of his father, and a brother of Hano," she narrowed her eyes, "there's a very good chance he's just like Hano in that department."

"But what if he isn't though? I mean, I heard he hasn't been home in like eleven years." Mel said, her eyes widening in expression, her attention now returned to Angel.

And Angel only shrugged. "So? He's a Kingsley; doesn't matter where he goes. And -" she placed a bag of chicken quarters in the buggy. "-why are we talking about this?"

This time Mel shrugged. "I don't know. I overheard Dayna and Dēdē talking about him earlier before we left." Then she flashed her lashes as she nudged Angel lightly on her left arm, "and I heard he's hot. Way hotter than Hano." She winked.

"I wouldn't trust anything that comes out of those ladies' mouths, Mel. And I don't care if he's lava. Maybe wait till he gets here and you can go out with him, I don't know."

"Hmm maybe I might take you up on that if he isn't like his nasty brother." She concluded and giggled. And Angel just sighed irritatingly as she carried on with the buggy.

When they got to the self checkout, Melinda quickly looked at the list, nodding as she made sure they got everything they needed for the weekend. They'd need to make something so Mel could have her lunch to take to work for the weekend. Melinda worked part-time as a nurse on Fridays and Saturdays.

A quick look at her wrist watch told her that they needed to hurry up. Angel noticed her trying to hurry up with scanning the items when she said, "Hey, I can cook when we get home so you can just finish up that project that you have to submit in the morning." She said, a smile plastered on her face.

Angel and Melinda lived with Melinda's brother, Maurice, and their parents who took care of Angel like a second daughter.

They went home to Mel's parents' house after work at the Kingsley's on Thursday evening.

"Uh, it's a lot to cook. You're sure?" Mel asked as she handed over a scanned bagged set of tomato cans to Angel.

"Yes, I'm sure. Can't have you messing up this project." Angel replied. "Oh shoot. Uh -"

"What?" Mel asked as she glanced briefly at Angel.

"Mind if I quickly go check out the garden center? They might have the flowers back in stock."

Mel nodded in understanding.

"Sure, " she said. "I'll just start ordering Uber. Can you meet me at the pharmacy entrance when you're done?"
