This odd feeling had been bothering him for a very long time. He couldn't pinpoint exactly when it started, though sometimes he thought he might know but chose to ignore it.
Yes, he might have noticed the signs-the subtle shifts, the suspicious actions she took towards him and the people around him.
She was innocent, small, kind, beautiful, and strong-completely opposite to him in many ways. Maybe that contrast was part of the reason why everyone seemed to gravitate toward her, why they liked her so much.
Well, he liked her too.
After all, she was his friend, his close friend at school whom he treated like a little sister. His own younger sister, even though they were the same age and not related by blood.
She was someone he completely trusted, someone he could lean on without hesitation.
A brave girl who always supported him from the shadows, standing beside him through thick and thin, just like Hinata and the four members of the Mizo Gang-his best friends.
Chiramiya Humaya was a girl many people admired and looked up to.
She was beautiful, kind, smart, popular, and seemed to excel at everything she touched. But most importantly, she had that indescribable quality that made people fall in love with her effortlessly. She possessed the very traits that made her the perfect crush, the ideal person to admire.
And as her best friend, almost like a brother, he was proud of her.
He couldn't ask for more, having someone like her in his life.
Who wouldn't be happy to have a friend who always smiled at everything, who faced the world with such innocence and purity?
