Forgive me for any spelling mistakes! I wrote this at 4 AM lol- Happy Reading:D

Harvey stepped out of the clinic doors, noting on his watch that it was nearing 9 PM. He decided to get fresh air and walk along a trail up north. He didn't have a certain path in mind, he just wanted to be able to think anywhere besides his room. Making sure the door was shut, Harvey headed off. Lately, his thoughts were directed towards a certain farmer who moved into town about a year ago. Throughout his time knowing them, they've shown nothing but kindness to Harvey and the other townspeople. He smiles softly. Out of all the townspeople, the younger was far more important to him in his eyes. They were the only ones who'd swing by the clinic every day, a sweet smile on their face and, sometimes, an earthy smelling coffee clutched in their hand. No one else would do that, and to Harvey, that meant a lot. More than words could ever hope to.

As he started to approach the Community Center, the doctor recalled what happened earlier that week. The farmer saw a side to him that he never dared to show anyone: his interest in planes. Yes, Pelican Town's one and only doctor, wanted to be a pilot when he was younger. Not one person, in the whole five years he's been working in this town, has gotten as close to his heart as that small farmer. They're quite special. As much as Harvey tried to not get close to others, the farmer managed to wedge their way into his life, their eyes seeming to bore into his very being.

The brown-haired doctor suddenly felt a drop of water land on the tip of his nose. He quickly swiped it off with his finger. Glancing up, more droplets of water started to land on his face, the doctor's eyes being guarded by the frames on his face. Soon little raindrops started to hit his glasses, making his vision somewhat obstructed. Sighing, Harvey wipes his spectacles with his green coat sleeve, noting that he was about to pass Robin's house. He had wanted to go to the railroad tracks and stargaze, but maybe he could go tomorrow. Making up his mind, he turns around to quickly rush back home. He stopped dead in his tracks, however, as soon as his ears picked up the sound of coughing? He pivoted back around, heading towards the source. Luckly, the noise appeared to be behind Robin's house, so he didn't have to walk far. As soon as he rounded the corner of the carpenter's house, his heart plummeted. There, lying in the dirt, was the very person he was thinking about. Now, this wouldn't be as bad, if they weren't lying down, the dirt and their blood mixing together in the rain. Harvey bolts over and drops down next to the farmer, not caring about anything else but his friend in front of him.

"No, no, no, no, no..." Harvey trails off, reaching out towards the farmer, his shaky hands hovering over them. The doctor quickly rolls the farmer over onto their back. He lays his head on their chest. Listening for a heartbeat. He releases a breath, almost sagging in relief before he realizes that his best friend isn't in the clear just yet. Jabbing his fingers in their neck, Harvey checks the farmer's pulse. It seems slightly slow but not enough to be dangerous. The brunette, making up his mind, scoops the shorter into his arms, making sure to support their back and knees. Frankly, Harvey was surprised that he was able to lift them with little difficulty. The thirty- one-year-old just sighed inwardly, another thing he'll have to add to the list of things to lecture his friend about. Maybe he can make sure they get some food in them if he were to treat them out to dinner sometime- No! Harvey halts the thought as soon as he realizes. That sounds like you're asking them out on a date! A blush spreads across his face at what he was thinking. Would it be so bad though? He clears his throat, trying to force down the redness splashed on his face. He quickly rushes to the clinic, taking great care not to slip or drop the farmer in his arms.

Finally making it to his door, he maneuvers to the side, opening the door by pushing the handle down with his elbow. Fortunately, he left the clinic unlocked. It definitely would have made his job harder if he had to unlock the door. Shuffling in carefully, he adjusted his grip on the unconscious and injured farmer. He shuts the door with his foot and hurriedly strides down the hall and takes a right. The glasses-wearing doctor proceeds to move towards the nearest bed that his small clinic had. Laying them down carefully, Harvey gets to work by first checking their vitals. He places his hand onto the farmer's forehead and nearly recoils at the fever his friend-turned-patient currently had. Quickly heading towards the nearest sink, he turns the lever onto the coldest setting. He then bends down, quickly rummaging through the cabinet underneath the sink, searching for a washcloth. After finding one, he shuts the door and holds it under the water. Harvey twists the soaking rag, getting rid of the excess water. He then grabs a first aid kit and rushes back to his farmer. Placing the kit down on the blue stool next to the bed, he sets the cool cloth onto the farmer's forehead. Moving at a fast pace, the doctor fills two small containers of cool water so he can clean their injuries and to change out the water from the washcloth on their forehead. Bringing the water back to the farmer, he sets them both down and resumes his job. As Harvey cleans the younger's injuries, he notes that most of them seem to just be small scratches, bites and scrapes. This relieves the doctor. The only concerning wounds appear to be two gashes on the farmer's arm and leg. Probably due to some jagged rocks? Harvey dipped his washcloth into the water and squeezed his rag out. Continuing to wipe around the wounds, he cleans the blood off their body.

After that, Harvey turns to kit, preparing to bandage the many wounds his patient endured. Rolling up his coat and button up sleeves, the brunette opens the kit. His chocolate eyes scan the contents, thinking about what he needs to grab. The male grabs the blue disposable gloves, slipping them on his hands effortlessly. Before he treats anything, he flips the rag on the farmer's head, making sure it's still cool. Satisfied, the older man pulls out the disinfectant spray. Spraying all the farmer's injuries, Harvey was somewhat relieved that the younger was unconscious for this part. It would've definitely stung for sure if they were awake. After examining the two biggest cuts, Harvey determined that stitches were not necessary. He pulls out a bandage roll and precedes to wrap the two main gashes, as well as the bigger scrapes and cuts. Once that was done, the experienced doctor took his gloves off, deeming the hard part of his work to be done. For now. He slides the kit under the bed after closing it and eases himself onto the stool. Sighing, he finally allows himself to relax. He rests his arms on his knees, staring at h̶i̶s̶  the farmer. The, Harvey corrected, trying not to think about his slipup. His eyes drooped, but the man refused to let them close. All that he could do now was wait for them to awake. Glancing at the clock, the brunette checks the time. 10 PM is what was displayed on its face. Harvey has a feeling that it's going to be a long night.
