Alec didn't exactly know what made him walk into the science hallway, but somehow his feet lead him there. His next lesson was English, at the other end of the school.

He stumbled across the hall and into the lockers as he ran into someone.

The same feeling he had the last night appeared again, taking over his whole body in a second. Suddenly he knew what it was. All he felt at the moment was heart ruining, painful, wrenching hate for the boy in front of him. And he could see in those fascinating eyes that his opponent felt the same.

He didn't quite get why, he just knew that his blood boiling rage couldn't be wrong.

A fist flew towards his face and Alec Stopped it just before it could connect to his cheekbone. He pushed the dark haired boy across the hall and into the lockers. A big dent was now visible where he crashed into it.

"You aren't supposed to live, bastard. How is an abnormality like you even possible?" Mason spat, his voice echoing through the empty hallway. His eyes were now of a dark, bloody red Colour.

Alec didn't know what was going on as he stepped back, scared of the tone in the other boys voice. No he was the one to stumble backwards a little. Then he caught himself and stood straight.

Both boys fists flew up at the same time, Alec's meeting a stomach, Masons only air as he sunk to the floor, coughing.

He looked up, His eyes glowing even more now, not only with hate but pure want to kill. A thirst for blood, hunger for the sight of ripped skin.

It was a perfect reflection of what Alec's every cell vibrated with.

Mason jumped up, leaping for his opponents throat, but only being able to leave scratches on the pale skin. Alec stumbled backwards, but when he was supposed to hit the wall... Nothing happened. His surroundings got darker, and when he looked to the side, he saw nothing. Only bricks framed his cheekbones, followed the trail down his neck and arms till they met his feet. He took another step back and stood on the soft grass that surrounded the school building. The only things showing that he'd been in the science hallway were a staring Mason and a few dark, nearly black splatters of blood across the floor on other side of the wall.

The ghoul was stronger than Mason thought he'd be.

Mason knew he should have killed him right then and there. But he couldn't. He needed to find out if he was really the lost one.

He had decided to to ditch the rest of school, as if he hadn't learned that a few hundred times already.

Twigs cracked under his feet, leaves whispering when his hands shook the branches they were attached to as he jumped from tree to tree.

There, only half a mile away from him was what he wanted. He jumped down and ran faster, barely making a sound until he stood directly behind the blonde and sunk his teeth into the fragile neck. Blood oozed out of the wound, more and more, until the weak heart stuttered and stopped beating.

But Masons hunger couldn't be calmed. He wanted something else. He wanted someONE else.

The longing for the ghouls blood had always been near him since the second he had looked into his eyes this morning. It was like the awakening of a deep hate but want. He couldn't get rid of it, it hunted him and teared him apart.

But he knew he couldn't kill the boy. At least not now.
