Chapter 1
Alec's first day at his new school had finally come. During his summer vacation, he moved from Great Britain to New York with his mum, brother and sister. His dad went a few months earlier to look for a job and organize the whole school transfer.
It might seem to be hard to be the new student in the senior year of a big high school, with the other persons all being together for ages, some already since kindergarten.
But not if your name is Alec de Winter and you've got coolness basically dripping out of your body.
With deep black hair, shining blue eyes and perfect features. Not if every girl dreams about you and every boy respects you.
But Alec never had a big ego, he was just like he was and everyone liked him for that. Even if he never showed anything of his soul. He never opened up totally to anyone, he always kept a bit of him only for his own.
Being mysterious and acting open at the same time made him be so wanted and needed in his old school's popular circles. Everyone wanted to be his friend, and everyone was his friend, but no one ever got behind his secrets.
He never told anyone but his sister and brother he was gay, not even his so called best mates. He knew they would all look at him differently and he didn't want them to.
But he also knew he would have to change this for the right person. Even if he was already afraid of that day, afraid of loosing friends and making people hate him and be despised.
**********
Mason ran through the woods and home as fast as he could without crashing against any trees or rocks.
There were only a few minutes left till the sun would rise, and if he wasn't home soon his friend would get suspicious.
Stupid Chris with his need to get up so early.
He jumped over the fence and climbed up to his window of their apartment.
He was full of energy from his just finished meal, a few deers and, surprisingly, a tall predatory cat that was just straying around, searching for something to eat, like him.
They didn't satisfy his hunger, and he would've preferred human blood, but their blood made him stronger. He needed to be prepared if he didn't want to kill this small, weak human he would drink from.
Mason was no killer.
He made sure there was no blood or dirt on his clothes and skin, then he walked into the kitchen to greet his friend, who was already prepared for his first day as a senior student.
Mason didn't even bother to count how many times he had already gone to his first senior year day. Too often for any human, at too many different high schools all over the world. After the 20th time, it got boring and he stopped counting.
But when he went out of the kitchen and to his car, he felt like this year wouldn't be as boring as each one before.
**********
Alec looked at his watch and jumped up, grabbing his bag he stormed out of the door and through the streets. He was never late for school, and he wouldn't start on his first day in a new country.
Not like he was a nerd, but he didn't want to get suspended and kept up a B+ average.
He stopped in shock when a tall woman around 35 with platinum blonde hair walked in front of him and nearly bumped into him.
She stumbled back with a confused and scared look in her eyes, but her face went blank again in a second. She made wild gestures which looked kind of apologizing, until Alec told her it was alright and started to walk away.
She grabbed his wrist and handed him something cold and small without saying a word. Then she disappeared with fast and small steps.
Alec stared at the necklace in his hand, a blueish black precious stone, that shimmered like there were thousands of stars enclosed in it, on a black satin ribbon.
(A.N. this is actually the necklace I'm wearing and loving n_n Editing now I can confirm, this is still true, I'm still wearing it. )
When he put it on, it seemed to glow a bit more and it warmed up, but Alec didn't spend his time looking at it as he headed to his new school, the new necklace dangling over his heart. It still shone softly in a dark blue light and showed it was more than just a jewelry.
But Alec didn't notice the energy, pulsing on his chest like a second heart.

So my first attempt on writing a fantasy story and on writing a BoyxBoy story. I've made some one shots before, but nothing really long, that's why I'm kind of insecure about it.
I'd like to know what you think of it already!
Send me Constructive criticism, vote, comment ideas, whatever you want n_n
P.S. should I write in third person or do P.O.V. With some character changes from time to time? I'm not sure.
But now bye bye my lil vampies!
