" He believed he was ensnaring her, but little did he know that he was unknowingly setting himself up for failure. A beautiful failure."
*********
Jiya sat nervously at her desk, tapping her pen against it anxiously. Her mind was consumed by the man she had encountered the day before. He was not leaving her mind , he was making her mind as his permanent residence. She still remembers her intense eyes looking at her which made her shiver. There was something oddly familiar about him.
Jiya's fingers worked over the keyboard, and she pressed the search button. Within seconds, Google showed images and news of the CEO of the company. She gasped in fear. He was the same man who had bumped into her and broken her phone.
"You're getting fired today,Buriya bishtar pack karne ki tayari karlo, Jiya." her consciousness mocked her, causing her to bite her lips in dread. She had heard stories about him - how he was ruthless, cunning, and had no mercy for anyone who crossed him. This made her more nervous and anxious.
As she made a weeping expression, she cried out for the ultimate savior, "What should I do now... save me, Doraemon!"
However, to her disappointment, she knew that Doraemon didn't exist in reality. If only he did, she would have hopped onto a time machine, traveled back in time and prevented the situation from occurring in the first place.
Just then, she received a call from the manager's assistant.
With shaky fingers, she picked up the call. "H-hello."
"Hello, Ms. Jiya. I called you to , inform you that CEO wants to meet you immediately."
"What? Why?" Her voice grew loud with shock. The thing she had been dreading was coming true.
"The boss wants to discuss something with you," he said and cut the call.
Jiya tried to shake off the feeling of dread that had settled in her stomach, but it only grew stronger with each passing minute. She couldn't shake the feeling that something terrible was about to happen.
Her heart rate skyrocketed as she gathered her things and made her way to the CEO's office on the 70 th floor . She took a few deep breaths to calm her nerves down.
As the elevator dinged, she exited and was amazed by the beauty of the floor's architecture . For a minute she forgot the situation why she was even here .
Large marble tiles shined beneath her feet, with an exquisite chandelier hanging above. The sitting area was arranged with comfortable sofas upholstered in rich, dark brown leather, with a large polished wood coffee table and flat-screen televisions mounted on the walls. The entire space exuded luxury and sophistication.
Suddenly, she heard someone clearing his throat, making her jump on her spot and come out of fantasy land . It was a big man with black goggles, and his body was buff, like those of WWE wrestlers. He was wearing a black suit and had Bluetooth in his ear.
"You can't enter this floor, ma'am. This floor solely belongs to the CEO, and no one can enter here without his permission," he said, His voice was emotionless and hard, making her feel intimidated.
"H-he has only called me " she stuttered, and the guard briefly glanced at her, pitying her fear.
"What is your name, miss?" he asked.
"Jiya Mehra," she replied, and he remembered his boss ordering him to let a girl of this name enter.
"This way, miss," he said, leading the way, while Jiya followed him like a scared kitten.
