Nana's POV

I woke up once more after the incident last night, remembered it rather vividly. Laurance and I were on the couch eating grilled chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, then all of a sudden Dante walks in and there was this uncomfortable silence. After awhile he left and so did Laurance and I. It felt odd, like the whole mood was ruined, so we subconsciously decided to just part ways. I shake my head and picked up my phone.

Today is a day I don't have work, a good day to do absolutely nothing. I checked the time on my phone, it was 10:00 so I forced myself up to get breakfast, or at least a light snack. I waddled over to the kitchen and pick up a plate, then made some scrambled eggs. When the eggs were ready, I put them on the plate and walked back to the room I'm borrowing. I placed the plate down on a desk and reached for my phone from the opposite side of the bed.

Once I had achieved reaching my phone, I felt it was just necessary to look through my messages before I watched anime, or even eat for that matter. I hummed as I scroll to my text messages, looking at the most recent ones, which were mostly spam text. My eyes widened as I finally noticed 4 text messages sent from Zane two days ago. I panic and open the messages, worried about what he had said.

Zane:
I'm sorry. Just..calm down. It's going to be okay, KC. Dante was probably just in shock to see you there, trying to process all the emotions all at once. If I were you, I would do my best to avoid talking to him. Shovel food in your mouth if he asks a question, wear headphones so he thinks you can't hear him, or maybe you could just hole up in that room the whole time you're there.

Zane:
And I don't think going out would be a good idea, who knows what he wants. He might just, I don't know, steal your underwear in the drawers..? Either way, It wouldn't hurt to be too cautious about the room you're staying in and where you place things. I don't know Dante all that well, but from the context you've given me, I don't think stealing would be too far fetched.

Zane:
Make sure you eat properly, sleep peacefully, and don't stress out that much. It doesn't do you any good, it just complicates things further. And if anything happens, make sure to text me right away, or as soon as you can. If you can't get ahold of me, tell Laurance or Aphmau. Though if you can, tell me first and foremost. Okay KC?

Zane:
Alright, your silence is probably because you fell asleep, so..sleep well. Goodnight.

A slight blush creeps up on my face as I read all these messages. They were long sentences, sentences that were meticulously texted to make me feel better. I re-read the messages to make sure I read them all correctly, and I did. I gulp as each time I read the messages and reminded that it was Zane who sent me this, I groaned from the embarrassment. Eventually I took a big sigh and decided to finally respond to his messages, despite it being a very late response, and he'll most likely be upset over it.

Nana:
I'm so sorry Zane!! I wasn't on my phone all day yesterday, I was busy with work. I hope I didn't worry you with not responding for a long period of time. I swear everything is fine Zane!

Once I had finished texting that, I took a sigh of relief and went to go watch something while I was eating my breakfast. I decided what I was going to watch but the moment I was going to click on the video, a message popped up. I groaned as I reluctantly opened up the message and notice it's a message from Zane. Curiously, I read the message he had sent.

Zane:
It's..fine. Just ignore everything I said before. I was just..drunk. Yeah, that's the only reason why I cared, otherwise I don't really care.
