"It's not normal for a human to sweat this much in August." Amelia stormed over to the lunch table and collapsed into the bench, laying her bag on the table. She let out a loud groan, hitting her head off her bag.
"What happened to 'hello'?" Davina teased as she looked at the groaning teenager. "Why is it still so hot in august?" Amelia complained and Liliana crossed her arms. "I told you it was gonna be warm out, and you still wore long pants."
"Shut up." Amelia scoffed, sitting up.
"So, what are we gonna do after school? Todays the last warm day for the rest of the year." Aaron asked as he closed his maths book. "How about the lake?" Jesse suggested and everyone liked the sound of that.
Just as Kennedy was about to say something Amelia tried to flag someone down. "Hey! Jay!" The group frowned when she waved Jay over to the table.
"What's up?" He asked, walking over with his bag over his shoulder. "Biology." Amelia replied, opening her bag. "Oh, right, yeah." He nodded, sitting down in between Amelia and Jesse which was unappreciated by Jesse.
"I'm confused." Rowan stated and Jay chuckled. "She did my bio homework, I did her history homework." Jay explained as the two of them swapped sheets. "Thank you, it literally made no sense." Amelia smiled, reading over the history homework.
"Hey, we're all heading to the lake after school to get the last of the sun. You should come." Amelia invited Jay who nodded. "Yeah, I'd love to. If you're all good with that." He turned to the rest of the group, waiting their approval.
"Sounds good to me." Davi shrugged. Amelia made a note of how Jesse stayed silent. "Yeah, you can just leave with me." Liliana answered and Jay smiled. "I'll be there so." He nodded, standing up off the bench.
