"Amelia Rhodes! Qué es esto?" Amelia's mother exclaimed as she looked at the failed maths test Amelia had brought home. "What, I tried." Amelia shrugged, dumping her school bag in the kitchen.
(What is this)"Clearly not hard enough." Her father angrily stated as he snatched the test off Marcella. "Esto es inaceptable." Her mother scolded disapprovingly.
(This is unacceptable)"Whatever. I'm going to work." Amelia sighed, dismissing them and walking out into the hall. "no te atrevas a alejarte de mi mientras hablo." Her mother yelled after her and Amelia rolled her eyes.
(Don't you dare walk away from me while I'm speaking)"That's it. You're getting a tutor!"her dad shouted as she walked up the stairs. "Oh yeah because we can totally afford one." She scoffed, shutting her bedroom door.

Amelia was in the kitchen, tying her hair up when she heard a repetitive ringing of the server bell.
"Oh my god- the sign says ring the bell once! I have other things to- oh. Hey" Amelia nervously chuckled, seeing Jay leaning on the bar top as she stormed around the corner. "It's just me. Although- probably a good thing it is just me. Wouldn't be too good for business if you said that to a customer." Jay shrugged and she raised an eyebrow.
"So you're not a customer then? What are you?" She asked, crossing her arms. "A regular." Jay shrugged and she smirked. "Oh yeah?"
"What can I say? I like the service here." Jay smirked, giving her a look and Amelia grinned, running her tongue over her teeth. "What do you need?" She leaned on the bar top, getting closer to him. "Table three when you're ready." Jay gestured behind him and she rolled her eyes seeing most of the hockey team sitting there.
"Uh huh. You really know how to make a girls day. A table filled with smelly, hormonal teenage boys." Amelia scoffed, picking up her notepad. "I'm a natural." Jay teased and she shoved his arm lightly.
"Shut up." She warned him, raising an eyebrow. "How are you gonna make me?." Jay teased jokingly as they walked over to the table. "Wouldn't you like that." She scoffed, shoving him back into the booth.
"Yo dude, stop flirting with the waitress." Cole laughed and the table laughed. "The waitress is standing right here." Amelia cleared her throat, tapping her notebook on the table.
"The waitress is my sister. So knock it off, all of you." Archer scolded his friends from the back of the booth. "Alright I do have a job to do, and you guys better tip big. Can I get some drinks to start?"
