ZEIJAN (Part 1)

I hate this Halloween. I fucking hate this mission!

"Archer, focus!" napaayos ako ng tayo at ngumuso.

"Tiger!" reklamo ko, "baka p'wedeng iba na lang—"

He raised his hand, stopping me.

"Do you have any problem with your mission, soldier?" he asked coldly and hell, I swear I felt the way my hair rising at the back of my head. "Or do you want me to call your wife—"

"No problem, sir!" mabilis kong sagot sa kanya at pumirmi ang labi.

The side of his lips rose, he tilted his head and his white strands showed up. I saw the resemblance of him and my wife and I can't help but wonder.

Gwapo ako. Obviously, 'di ko na kailangang tanungin 'yan pero...magiging ganito rin kaya ko kagwapo kay Tiger kahit tanders na 'ko?

Napahawak ako sa chin at napaisip. Panigurado mas gwapo pa.

"Sandejas, ano na namang iniisip mo r'yan?" napatalon ako at sumulyap muli sa smartwatch ko kung saan ko siya nakikita.

"Wala naman, Tiger—"

"Tama na pag-iisip kung gwapo ka, oo na, sige. Pero mas gwapo ako sa 'yo kung iba ang iniisip mo. Tss! Lumayas ka na bago pa kita liparin d'yan na gago ka—"

"Tiger!" I whined, "baka naman p'wedeng pag-usapan 'to?"

"Do you want Viper to go inside instead? She won't hesitate—"

"Oo na, oo na," I gave up, sighing. "Punta na nga, eh! Masyado ka namang serious, tigre ka ba?"

His face fell.

"Gusto mo pa bang mabuhay, Sandejas?" the way he asked that gave me chills.

Dali-dali akong tumango. My face got drained from the blood rushing. I think I'm fucking pale.

"Yes, sir!"

"Go!" at nang mawala na siya ay ibinaba ko ang smartwatch at iginalaw ang batok. I flexed my body and jumped up and down, sighing loud.

You can do it, Archer! You are handsome and perfect! Bakit ka matatakot sa mga multo, perfect ba sila?

I can't believe just a few days before my vacation, something like this would happen. Ree, my wife, and I rarely have field assignments like this these days. I'm focusing more in office works in DEA and the Intelligence while my wife's in her acting career but once we get assignments like this that's high-end and important for sure.

It's another crime syndicate, drugs, extortion and human trafficking. They're high-end that the local police refused to touch them. The owner was one of the trusted bankers in the Philippines, has a personal connection in the government and no one would take care of these fucking people but us.
