Chija's POV:

Tossing and turning, I sighed, my head pounding with anxiety. Looking up, I saw the bright light of my clock. 2:15. It was 2:15 in the morning, and I still could not fall asleep. Sighing in defeat, I stood up, making my way to my closet.

"Maybe a walk and some fresh air will calm my nerves. I could even get the boys a little morning treat from the bakery nearby," I mumbled, picking a simple but warm outfit to help fight the cold weather. Settling for a pair of jeans, a white top and a fluffy jacket, I slowly peeled off my Pj's (which may or may not have consisted of Chan's black jumper and Suengmins workout shorts, which are extremely comfortable, by the way), before slipping on my sneakers and slowly making my out the door.

Walking down the stairs towards the front door, I heard a slight snore emanating from the living room. Looking across the room, I was met with a sleeping figure curled up on the couch, the television playing softly in the background. Slowly walking over to the person, I looked down to see that it was Jisung, curled up on the couch, exhaustion written all over his face. Frowning softly, I quickly grabbed the knitted blanket from the side of the couch, draping it over his lean figure before kissing his head. "Sleep well, Oppa," I whispered, smiling once more before grabbing my purse, mask and phone and walking out the front door, making sure to lock it behind me.

Breathing in the fresh, crisp air, I smiled, admiring the clear dark sky as I walked down the street, smiling under my mask and waving at strangers. A queasy feeling settled in my stomach, causing me to walk faster. As I continued to walk down the street, I suddenly felt a chill go up my spine, causing me to frown, my eyebrows furrowing in confusion. Looking to my side, I realised that the streets were now barren.

The sound of heavy footsteps sounded out from behind me, causing my heart to speed up. I blinked rapidly, keeping the tears of fear at bay as I ducked into an alley, praying that whoever this was would walk by. Sadly, fate was not on my side as the tall, looming figure ran into the alley, making his way straight towards me. I made the rash decision and broke out into a sprint, not caring about being careful but just wanting to escape this mysterious man.

Quickly hiding behind a dumpster, I pulled out my phone and opened the group chat to which the boys had added me. I hesitated, wondering if it was worth dialling them early in the morning. However, I did not want to end up as today's headline about a girl found dead by a dumpster, so I pressed the group call, praying to God that they would answer. The phone rang for what felt like forever until finally, the screen switched to Chan, Felix and Minho, all thoroughly confused and half-asleep.
