Yvonne's pov: I stare outside my window as I see the decorations being done it was going to be my sixth birthday on may 11 but I kept on feeling sick
I went to dad's office where he was doing his work.i sit on the nearby chair
Claude:what happened?
Yvonne:daddy i feel dizzy from this morning.
Dad's head shot up
Claude:are you sick?
Yvonne:i don't know.i was going to yua(the head maid of the emerald palace) but decided to stop by.
Dad gets up and picks me up in his arms he touches my forehead
Claude:your body feels hot.you have a fever.you should have informed the maids as soon as you felt uneasy
Dad sits on the couch and calls lena
Due to me feeling weak i quickly fall asleep in his arms
3rd person pov:
Claude stares at lena in front of him he stared at her coldly

Lena:*trembling*i-i am a-aware your m-majesty.
Claude:then how did you not realize that she had a fever.

After lena left Claude got up and went to his room where he placed Yvonne on the bed but when he tried to leave she was still holding his robe her hand would not let go so in defeat he lays in bed with her
He pats her hear head gently he realized how much his daughter has changed him.he thought if he had never found her than how much he would have hated this world and everyone in it.
she taught him to love.no matter how ugly this world was as long as she was in his world he saw everything as beautiful.the once cold,emotionless, tryant emperor was now warm he might not show it but he felt full of emotions he was gentle his world changed when she came in it.the mere thought of losing her not being to be able to see her smile terrified him he felt helpless without her he knew that his daughter had saw her mom being stabbed to death she got kidnapped and hurt yet still everyday she smiled she made everyone smile she was the reason for his happiness.if it was for her he would do anything to keep her safe
He would do anything and everything to keep this rare jewel close to him
