Rosalyn was in a hurry. She had to go to the subway that day after work. When her shift was over, she avoided Cathy and rushed to the bus stop thirty minutes earlier. She stopped at the bus stop and took a deep breath. Her eyes were fixated on the entrance of Subway 101. She gathered all her guts as she entered the subway. Her steps were steady and her breath was low. The lights in the subway were dim, making her body shiver. Rosalyn crept into the subway, looking for clues. She was searching for blood or anything that would ring in her memory, she reached such a point that she couldn't see from where she had come. Rosalyn tensed and, decided to find her way back to the bus stop when she stumbled upon something. She fell with a loud thud and her knees started bleeding. The scratches on her knees were bleeding. She softly cursed under her breath as she took out a band-aid from her purse. After stopping the flow of blood, she searched the ground. She had stumbled upon a matchbox.

She picked it up and realised it wasn't any ordinary matchbox. The matchbox had blood on it. She was careful not to touch the blood stain. She studied the matchbox; it had a chicken face on it. Rosalyn knew the chicken face from somewhere. She was examining it until she heard muffled voices. The voices were getting clear. She sensed some people were coming her way. She put the matchbox inside her purse and ran out of the subway.
That evening, when Rosalyn sat on the bus, she felt satisfied. She went home and greeted Camilla, as she rushed up to her room. Rosalyn sat there examining the matchbox, but it didn't ring any bell. She hit her head twice, begging herself to remember things. She grew bored and kept the matchbox inside her purse by covering it in a plastic bag and went to sleep.

At 3 am, Rosalyn woke up panting. Her memory of that night had started recollecting, and her nightmares grew scarier. This time, determined to sleep, Rosalyn went and cuddled up with her elder sister. Camilla embraced her, but Rosalyn couldn't sleep. She kept staring at the clock until it was 8 am and she had to return back to work.
