~  Xiao POV ~

I slowly open my eyes and look around.. I don't know where I am it is an unfamiliar setting to me. The room was very spacious and big, the was a door on the across the room from the bed I lay in. The room was made of mainly dark oak with gold imprinted into the walls to make patterns across the roof and any support beams. There was one double bed in the room, a wardrobe in the corner and a desk in the other. It was very bland but I noticed on the desk was an insence burner and a small golden statue of Rex Lapis. Then the events of the night before came rushing back and I realise Zhongl i must have brought me here.. I wanted to avoid him seeing me with Aether as I know he is the enemy and it is wrong of us to do such things with each others as if we are lovers but I think I really do like him.. I try forcing the feeling away when I see him but I don't think I can no matter how hard I try.. But even if we did have a chance to be closer to each other I would just bring him pain with my karmic debt and I don't wish to do that to him. I immediately snap out of thought when the large oak door opens and i'm greeted by Zhongli who holds a tray with tea on it. He walks to the desk and places them down, then he takes the chair from the desk and places it next to the bed and sits on it. 

" Xiao, do you know why I brought you here? " He isn't speaking in a soft tone he sounds stern and commanding. I feel like if I don't answer something bad will happen.. 

" I think I do, yes. " I try to look at him in the eyes but it feels as if his stare is piercing through me and judging me. I feel like he is looking down at me. 

" I will deal with the boy, in the meantime you will stay here until it is over then you can go back to your duties. " What does he plan on doing to Aether?

" I'm sorry but I can't let you do that " I look him in the eyes now but he looks away, he takes a moment before sighing. 

" Xiao you do understand he is with the abyss. If you do plan on going with him you become all of ours enemy too and you always complain about human emotions being futile but now you would sacrifice everything for him. You must be reasonable and rule out the major difference between the pros and cons. " He looks at me with pity now, his eyebrows are also raised, he acts as if I am nothing but a cold hearted, killing machine..

" People change. " 

" Are you saying you can make him change ? I highly doubt you can do that, you hardly understand your own emotions. " I want to leave.. I have to leave this place before he does anything to Aether! I just lay back down and turn my back to him, he then gets up and leaves. But before he leaves he tells me he will come later to give me food. Meaning I only have a while to get as far away as I can before he comes and finds me.. I'm in a sleeping gown ( yk those like dresses people slept in the 1800s wore ) I can't leave like this and I can't just teleport to Wangshu inn, it'll be too easy for him to find me. I could try going to where ever it is me and him were earlier but it will be hard since I don't know where it is exactly and if i teleport over 4 times I'll end up just passing out from tiredness.. I will just try teleporting to Aether and hopefully it works if it doesn't i'm gonna have to go to Ningguang..

Backstory on him being close with the true Geo archon : So Zhongli had done something like this in the past and Ganyu told Ningguang and she helped him and hid him in the Jade Chamber for quite a few months and in this time they had gotten close and Xiao had told Ning about his past and that.
