(Y/N) arrived at the nearest coffee shop from her house. She quickly scanned the place around her. Not too busy today, she thought, trying to look at what the coffee shop had to offer. The girl ended up getting a matcha latte, emphasizing how hot she wanted it to be due to the windy morning. As she was searching a good spot to sit, her eyes caught a feline-like blue eyes with slightly messy light brown hair. Was he looking at her? Nah, that was improbable, but he wouldn't move his gaze, and she was so unsure about him admiring her until a closed smile graced his thin lips.
Oh shit.
A cautious smile decorated her face, without hesitation focusing on the menu which she already had read multiple times.
(Y/N) was handed her order, avoiding any tempting peeking at the boy at all costs until she reached the table. But oh boy, he was such a pleasing sight to stare at in the almost vacant coffee shop.
They would switch glances but never cross them. Maybe it was for the better, she thought. Until the boy rose from his sit and marched to the nearest trash bin to discard the plastic cup from the beverage he had, squinting at the girl anytime he could.
As he was coming back to his place to pick up his belongings, he gave her the cutest smile he could possibly give at that hour in the morning.
Another tight smile escaped her own lips and a way to avoid a possible verbal connection, she focused on sipping on her still steaming matcha, savouring the semi-sweet flavour.
She heard the click on the door, signalling that it had closed. Right after hearing that sound, she peeked at that direction, examining the boy leaving still with that enchanting smile adorning his face while facing the ground. He took one last glance at the inside of the coffee shop through the almost reflective glass window, their gazes crossing until they couldn't see their figures anymore and probably crossing paths never again.A not-so-distant memory coursed her mind, in fact, multiple ones. All had someone in common: the boy she used to call boyfriend, Kuroo Tetsurou. A boy with pure raven-black hair and even though it was styled in one of the messiest ways ever, she still was fond of it with all her heart. His eyes that bombarded her with tenderness and his voice that sang the sweetest lullabies as he called her name while his middle finger ran up and down her bare back.
But she didn't need anyone, she had everything she wanted and hadn't the need to search for anything.Ping
A message landed in her phone, causing her memories to fade into oblivion.

you're coming over to the club
aren't you?
i bet you are
Should she accept it? No. Is she going to? Definitely.
Her mind was too clouded with dark grey thoughts. Nothing like a shot or two to clear up her mind once again. Even if the after taste that lingered on her mouth still bugged her, that wasn't enough to make her stop.
The same reply was sent to both of her friends. Her presence was confirmed and now it was time to get home to tame her bedroom. The state of her room was quite chaotic and since the energy from her matcha began to kick in, she found the motivation to clean it.
The girl lived alone for university reasons. The last tenant of that house was no one no other than her ex-boyfriend. Fate did its little trick when Kuroo gave back his keys to the landlord and pop, out of nowhere (Y/N) appeared to receive her keys to her new apartment. Little did she know that those keys that were handed over to her landlord were the same keys handed to her not quite after.
Short presentations were made, and few polite smiles were esxchanged. Kuroo knew how sloppy his landlord could be, so he himself offered as an intermediary help in case the girl could not gain access to the landlord. But she never contacted his landlord, always finding in Kuroo all the answers she needed for her doubts. Engaging conversation with him seemed easy. The way he brought wisdom in his words and confidence in his actions. Except when the topic of love or feelings came up. His body would almost malfunction when the words "love life" would come to the table. He would avoid exposing his heart, so he remained silent, listening attentively his friend babbling about her love life. Until she bravely asked, "Do you feel this way too?".
How was he feeling?
That was a question he was trying to find the answer for. He knew his hands trembled like small earthquakes, heart pounding like a wave to a shore and mind flooded with all kinds of thoughts, even the deepest ones for two friends who met not long ago whenever she crossed his mind.
It made him mad how stunning she was but not being able to call her his. Not being able to walk around town with her hand intertwined with his callused hands from his previous years playing volleyball. So, the thought of another person looking at her with the same desire as him, made him furious. It sent a small sharp pain to his heart how seductive she was, and the sharpness would sink deeper when he realized that he couldn't just take her and claim her right there and then. All those feelings just for one person. He knew it wasn't love, but he knew he felt all kind of bubbling sensations when it came to her.
Kuroo found the answer for her and his question. The major problem was with the fact that he couldn't say it to her face. His cheeks gaining a tint of redness with the mere thought of saying that to her lovely face.
A vague "same" came out from his thin lips as a response, trying to mask his own feelings by telling how uninterested his best friend was about love.
She would talk but avoided fixating her sheepish gaze on him. (Y/N) was too flabbergasted how gorgeous he was. Combining the perfect outside demeanour but soft-hearted interior. His tallness added to his appearing mean demeanour but as soon as he spoke, all that armour would crumble down to reveal a man with love to give and sell.
An alarm clock went off dictating the girl that she had at least two hours left before having to leave the house. So, she called her parents that longed for her and right after began doing magic to her appearance.
She left the house in a hurry. Her taxi waitingfor her as she almost run to the parked car while texting her friends.
