ONE

Meilin Wáng hated wearing heels.

She was on her way to a party of a friend of hers, since she had recieved an invite through text, and she was struggling to stay stable on her feet due to the heels that she was wearing.

She knew that it was due to the pavement that she was walking on, of which was cracked and uneven, making it very hard for her heels to avoid sinking in to the cracks.

It was raining as she was walking, so she was very glad that she was had an umbrella in her grasp, since she did not want her hair to get frizzy especially after she had spent so long curling and styling it.

She could hear the music of the club getting closer and closer as she walked, and she could see her friend waiting for her outside of the building, causing her to lift the hand that wasn't holding the umbrella to wave at them slightly.

"Hey there, you look like a drenched rat." Meilin teased her friend as she noticed them roll their eyes as they failed to hide a small smile.

"And you look fabulous." Her friend gently pressed a soft kiss to her cheek in greeting, before the two of them made their way in to the club.

The lights were bright and colorful, and the music was blaring loudly making it very hard to hear anything due to the volume.

"Let me introduce you to the others!" Her friend shouted over to her as he led her through the crowd, having already taken her umbrella and jacket away from her so that she wasn't carrying it around the whole night.

Meilin dragged her brown eyes over the crowd of people as she approached them, before her eyes settled on a tall figure of a man who was laughing and joking with his friends.

"Hey guys!"

The group of men immediately turned their heads towards the two approaching figures, seeing their brown haired friend walking beside a girl with dark hair who they had not seen before.

"This is Meilin, she's a friend who I met when playing golf."

Meilin smiled at the group of men, seeing how their eyes glazed over her as they acknowledged her, causing her lips to twitch up in to a small smile.

"Nice to meet you all, does anybody need their drink refilled?" Meilin questioned the group, and noticed some of them nodding their heads up and down.

As she made her way towards the bar to order drinks for herself and the other people that needed a refill, her friend seemed to notice the looks that she was recieving from his friends.

"Alex, stop drooling over her."

Alex Albon shot his head straight back to his friends from where it had been staring at the Wáng woman who was at the bar, as he raised his eyebrows in surprise at having been spotted.

"Lando, you do realise that your golfer friend is a professional golfer, right?" Alex questioned the friend of the the woman, who was also a close friend of his.

Lando Norris chuckled lightly at the look of awe on the face of his fellow Formula One driver as he stared at the Chinese woman and shook his head from side to side.

"You do realise that you've been staring at her ever since she arrived, right?" Lando fired back at his friend who was due to drive for Toro Rosso as they entered the world of Formula One.

Lando had first met the golfer whilst he was at a golf course in Australia, and had immediately become friends with her due to the fact that she was helping him with the accuracy of his shots.

Meilin was ranked in the top hundred women golf players in the world, and to have the woman as his friend made him very happy.

Mainly due to the fact that she would train him and help him beat his friends in golfing competitions.

Meilin ordered multiple drinks, making sure that some of them were the same but others were different, and before she brought them over to the group of boys, she decided to take a couple of shots of sambuca to avoid being the only sober one.

She was thankfully quite a sociable person and had quite a bit of confidence when speaking to new people, so she wasn't bothered about the fact that the only one that she knew was Lando.

She wanted to get to know the group of men, since there was five of them including the Norros boy and she could tell that at least two of them were British.

She was thankful for Lando, because since they had become friends, he had been teaching her some English words and phrases, because whilst she could speak some English, she was not fluent and would often struggle if she had to talk to somebody in English.

Lando thanked the Wáng girl as she approached them with a tray which was full of drinks and slowly handed the drinks out to his friends.

"Merci, Meilin." Charles Leclerc thanked the woman as he accepted a drink given to him, and smiled as she gave him a smile of her one.

"Thank you." George Russell thanked the woman, as he noticed that she had also got a non alcoholic drink for the Norris boy.

"Thanks, Mei." Lando thanked his friend as he heard her release a small giggle.

"They didn't have milk so that will have to do for you." Meilin teased the Norris boy, hearing his friends burst in to laughter.

"Thank you." Alex Albon smiled at the girl as she handed him a drink from the tray, and placed the rest of them down on the table behind them.

"Here, my arms were aching so I had to put the tray down." Meilin handed another drink over to a brown haired man, seeing him accept it instantly.

"Thanks." Max Verstappen nodded his head up and down as he took the drink out of her hand gratefully.

"So who's partying with me?" Meilin grinned as she noticed how Lando rolled his eyes at her actions, before slightly jabbing his thumb over in to the direction of one of his friends.

Alex couldn't hide the smile that formed on his features as the Wáng woman took a hold of his hand and started to pull him in to the crowd of people that were dancing in the club.

"You didn't let me answer." Alex laughed as he began to dance with the woman, smiling once again as he noticed a smile forming on her face.

"I didn't need to." Meilin shot the man a wink as she danced with him, finding that his hands slowly moved to her waist as the night went on.

It was almost as if they were lost in their own world and had forgotten all about their friends who were partying nearby to them.

Most of which, had been smiling at the two of them the whole night.

Because to them, it almost looked as though the two of them had been dating for years.
