THREE

"Meilin!"

Max Verstappen shouted as loud as he could, lifting his hand up in to the air in order to wave at the woman, the sun shining in his eyes causing him to squint.

Meilin Wáng quickly waved back to the Dutch man who she had met quite a few times, before concentrating back on the shot that she was trying to do, since they were at a golf course.

With a satisfied grin, the Chinese woman watched as the golf ball that she had just hit soared its way through the air, heading towards the green where she would easily be able to put it, a feeling of triumph forming her chest.

It wasn't quite a hole in one, but it was still very impressive.

She could sense multiple pairs of eyes on her as she played, so as soon as she was done, she headed towards the group of Formula One drivers that had been watching her.

"Wassup, losers!"

Meilin Wáng grinned as she jogged up to the group of familiar faces, her dark eyes sparkling with happiness at the sight of a certain one, a tall guy with dark hair, his cheeks tinged pink.

The Chinese girl sidled her way beside him, leaning against him with ease since not only did he tower over, but he also held her in place with barely any effort.

"Hey, Mei."

Alex Albon beamed, his face shining, his smile wide and bright, as he stood beside that of the professional golfer, smiling down at her as she craned her neck upwards to look at him.

"你好亲爱的"

The group furrowed their eyebrows in confusion as the words from Meilin's native tongue left her soft pink lips, making her giggle at their reaction.

"What? Guys, I just said hello!" Meilin chuckled to herself, happy to see them all even if she had not expected as such.

Since she was in training for a golf tournament, she had not been able to see them or spend as much time as she would've liked with Lando or Alex, which of course deeply upset them both, for very different reasons.

Lando, because it meant that he would not have golf lessons and Alex because he had wanted to take her out for dinner.

It had been just two months since Alex had first met Meilin, and they had been texting most of the time.

Meilin didn't usually have the issue of always being on her phone, but since she had met Alex, she did. She was always on her phone, when she was walking down the street, when she was on the bus or the train or the tube, or the tram. When she was in bed, when she was in the gym.

If Alex texted, she replied as quick as she could, she couldn't help herself.

"How's the training for the tournament?" Alex found himself questioning, his arm loosely wrapped around her shoulders.

"Good! I've just bought myself a new set of clubs so I'm trying to adjust and get myself used to them because they are so much better than my old ones. You can have my old ones if you'd like, Al?" Meilin whispered as she smiled up at the Thai boy, her eyes squinting since it meant that she was also looking more towards the sun, but it was worth it.

She got to look at Alex's face, after all.

"Are you sure? Don't you want to keep them?"

"Nope, plus they should make your shots cleaner. Just don't tell Lando. He'll think that I'm bias." The Brunette girl giggled, relishing in the company of the Thai Formula One driver.

"And are you?"

"Of course I am." The duo laughed, their cheeks tinging pink at the exact same time. "I like you a lot... Lando I tolerate."

Meilin Wáng knew that she could've said a lot more than that, because she did like Alex, of course she did, but she really liked him.

She just needed to gage his feelings for her before she let him know that fact.

"Well, I like you a lot too." The Albon boy grinned in happiness, the pair barely paying attention to anybody around them who were now arguing amongst themselves as to who was the better golfer.

"Of course you do. I'm fabulous."

"Damn right you are."

"I'm surprised that you managed to make the time for this."

Alex Albon spoke as he laid on a yacht in the golden sunlight, since he had recieved a text message telling him to go to a certain place, only to find a yacht and Meilin waiting for him.

"It's you. I always make time for my priorities, tournament or no tournament."

"I'm your priority?"

"No, you're my makeup artist." Meilin smirked, one of her eyebrows raised upwards as she watched the man before her roll the dark of his eyes at her.

"Funny."

"I know I am, that's why you like me so much." The Wáng girl laughed, the sound being angelic to the ears of the man beside her.

It was the middle of one of her golf tournaments and whilst she should have been resting and making sure that she had the sleep that she needed, instead she was laying on a yacht with a bikini upon her slim and muscled body, a strawberry daiquiri within her grasp.

She would pay the price for not resting, she knew that, but she was used to broken sleep during tournaments so she would take the risk in order to spend time with Alex.

She had hired a yacht and filled a picnic basket up with all sorts of snacks and food that she thought the man would like, and so far, she was right.

"I know that you've invited me to watch the tournament and I just wanted to ask, after your tournament ends, would you like to see me race? I can get you a pass so that you can watch the Grand Prix from my garage, but if you don't want to then that o-"

"I'd love to watch you race, I'll make sure to create a banner saying how amazing you are." Meilin grinned as interrupted him, watching the man that she cared for roll his eyes at her, though she did notice how he was failing to hide a smile.

"I could never be as amazing as you." Alex laughed, shooting the woman a wink which only made her laugh harder.

"Bullshit!"

Her scream filled the air as she shouted as loud as she could, the echo lasting a couple of seconds, the sound repeating over and over again until it eventually died down until all they could hear was their own breathing, their own giggles and their own heartbeats, beating frantically whilst unknowingly becoming synchronised.

The body of the Chinese woman gently rested down on the wooden deck of the yacht as she stared softly at the Formula One driver, her smile growing as she took in every part of his face, every feature, every crook, every line.

She knew what was about to leave her lips, but she wouldn't regret it. She knew that.

"You're cute, I'm cute. Let's date."

Alexander Albon's eyes widened slightly at the words before his mouth moved before he could stop it, a single word escaping his lips.

"Okay."
