when steve awoke from his decent slumber, which he was surprised it lasted so long, he called dustin. he didn't exactly know when the concert was going to happen, nor did he know where the hideout was. "dustin? god, stop talking to suzie. i called you for a reason, idiot." steve rolled his eyes and dustin heard him, because the other end went silent.

"steve! hi, i didn't realize you called. bye suzie!" steve furrowed his eyebrows and leaned against his bed frame. "what a lie. you knew i called you, you literally picked up the phone." dustin laughed and sat on his bed. "yeah yeah. what do you need?" dustin asked in curiosity. "when's the concert? also, what the hell is it called? you didn't give me a lot of detail." dustin snatched a paper off of his night stand and cleared his throat.

"oh, uhh.. it's at 10pm, corroded coffin. it's in a looooot of hours. why are you asking now?" dustin said with a questioning tone. "because i didn't know. duh. now bye, I'm busy." steve hung up before dustin could say anything and he stood up. "hmm.. what exactly would you even wear to a concert?" steve asked himself. of course, he didn't know the answer to that. nor did he have any cool friends to ask.

he looked through his closet, trying to find a band tee, but all he found was anything but what he wanted. he didn't want to embarrass himself by wearing formal clothes, or his family video uniform, but it's all he had. steve sighed and looked in his drawers, getting his car keys. "guess were going shopping." he sighed and didn't bother doing his hair. he was gonna do it later, anyway.

he walked out of the door, turning all the lights off in the process. he couldn't waste electricity, he really didn't have the money with only getting paid $10 dollars an hour. steve drove to a store that had everything that a band geek could want. instruments, clothes, accessories, and CDs. he walked in and immediately felt unwelcome. here he was in a yellow sweatshirt and bright blue jeans while everyone else was in black and grey.

steve took a deep breath and moved himself to the clothing isles. he looked around and found a corrded coffin tee. he didn't know that the band dustin asked him about was actually... popular. he got his size in the shirt, bought himself some black ripped jeans, and sighed. he walked up to the front desk and set his stuff down on the counter. "hm, are ya buying for somebody?" the cashier asked as she turned to look at the poor boy.

"o-oh, no ma'am. im buying it for myself." steve said, forcing a smile. he was nervous. why? he wanted to seem.. cool, i guess you could say. "oh, alright. well your total is $21.45." steve handed her a $20 and a $5. "keep the change." he said with a smile, a real one, before walking out of the store.
