Cursing loudly, Kiwi was still busy cleaning up the mess from the garage door.
The thing that irritated her the most was that she had called a mechanic to come to fix it, but his busy schedule didn't allow him to come earlier than next week.
And so, she had decided to just clean up the mess and leave it like this until the door would be fixed.
On the bright side, she did have three big, strong, and very macho bodyguards on her property now.
Whoever was planning on stealing from her would come to a rude awakening.

The sound of engines approaching broke her out of her thoughts and she turned around.
Speaking of the devil.
The mice flew over the fence, and her eyes grew big when she saw Vinnie performing a flawless somersault before landing smoothly on both tires on her lawn.
Nibbling on her lower lip, she wondered if the guy was just plain crazy or tired of living, but she soon concluded that it could only be both.
"Aaaaoooww! Vinnie, the velocity atrocity triumphs again!", the white-furred mouse cheered, pumping his fist in the air as he skidded to a halt close to Kiwi, as did his two beloved bro's.

Ignoring his hyperactive friend, Throttle pulled off his helmet.
"Say there, Kiwi? We went to the other side of town and noticed some uh... destruction. You happen to know something about that?", he asked, and his serious tone didn't elude Kiwi.
Which confused her, to be frank, because why in the world would he care about the ghetto of Chicago?
"I uh... I don't know. I don't come there that often", she said slowly, not sure what he wanted from her.
Throttle hung his helmet on one of the handlebars of his impressive bike before he gave her another one of those earnest looks that already seemed to define him.
"Look, it's really important. We need to know everything you know."
Kiwi narrowed her blue eyes, still standing in the dark here.
"Why? Why do you even care?"

"Because our fearless leader over here thinks there are Plutarkians in town. And well... You know. We wouldn't want them to destroy Earth like they did to Mars... sweetheart", Vinnie added with a mischievous smile.
Although his eyes weren't twinkling as earlier when he teased her, it still had the same effect and Kiwi marched towards him with clenched fists, but Modo suddenly popped up right in front of her, thereby blocking her way.
"He's right. Well, about the destruction part. Is there anything you can think of? Maybe some small details, details that may not seem important to you...?"
Blinking her eyes, Kiwi raised her head to look at him.
Damn, he's big.

As she took a few steps back, she racked her brain about said details, although it seemed quite futile in her eyes, for she had no idea what Modo meant exactly with 'details'.
She was just about to tell him that when suddenly something came to mind.
She remembered this because she simply hated the guy.
Not that she had ever met him in person.
But he had been on television many times already, and due to the arrogance he used to talk with, alongside the way he was clearly very satisfied with himself, she remembered him.
Oh, she remembered him, alright.
Ugh.
"The only thing I can come up with is a certain business man, who wants to renew the old neighborhoods. Everybody literally worships him, since he's willing to spend a lot of his own money to help the city. I'm not quite sure why I'm even telling you this, I mean, I can hardly imagine that he's an evil alien seeking world domination, for he's doing some really good work over here..."

Although she didn't like the guy, which was, if anything, an understatement, she truly had a hard time believing he had ill intentions.
Having an ego bigger than this planet obviously wasn't a crime, after all, Vinnie here being the dignified embodiment of that theory.
The guy was a hero in this town.
So again — why was she telling them all this?
Throttle seemed to think otherwise, and he shot her a quizzical look while rubbing his furry chin.
"What's his name?"
"The amazing Lawrence Limburger. He has a big skyscraper in the middle of town. It really isn't that hard to miss."
