CHAPTER 26
"square one"
It's been almost been more than a month since you and Jimin 'broke up'. Since that night your life turned back to its usual self. Studying, helping out dad, hanging out with your friends and being alone. You were back to square one.
You didn't want to make things awkward between you and Jimin. So you continued to fight and bicker with each other like usual. But this time it felt different because you had got to see his vulnerable side. And it changed your entire perspective of him but that didn't mean he wasn't still annoying. You kinda missed bickering with him and you could see he did too. So you're glad things weren't weird.
Considering you both found out the truth, it seemed like he had healed from it and you did too. It wasn't something worth mopping around. You're glad things are okay now.
However, it was funny when you had lie to your friends that you 'broke up with Jimin' when you weren't even together in the first place. You thought it's best to not say anything and leave it at that. Yumi was even like I thought you guys would be 'endgame'. But there was no endgame to begin with. It was impossible to have an endgame if there's nothing there to begin with or was there?
You guess finding out the truth helped the lie to become more believable. You had told them it's best to focus on yourself and having additional boy drama. And you lowkey did mean it though. You really did need to focus on yourself. The past two months had been a fucking roller coaster and you felt lost. And you weren't gonna lie that it feels nice being 'single' and just being your own person.
You lean your head against the bus window and for once no thoughts flood your head. You told yourself to always put on your best smile so that's what you did. Walking down the hallway happily.
However, the one thing you noticed is that there will always be something to disturb your peace and you never see it coming.
Jungkook and Yoongi head towards you while Yumi runs to hug you, almost making you fall to the ground. You chuckle at her sudden hug and greet them. "So what's up guys?"
"Did you hear the news?" Jungkook asks and you look at them three confused.
"What news?" you ask
"They've been dating for two weeks already," Yumi mumbles just enough for you to hear.
You're not surprised. "It's Jimin and Sujin right?" you ask to clarify when you already knew the answer.
"Yeah it is.. you okay with it?" Yoongi had the courage to confirm it.
"Why wouldn't I be? We broke up over a month ago, he's allowed to. But yeah I am okay so don't worry about me," you look at all of them assuring everything is good.
"True but it's also kinda quick but we're here for you girl," Yumi hugs you and you smile.
"I know you guys are," you chuckle.

Class is over and you head to the library to get some more study done. Your figure suddenly gets pulled back almost falling over. You frown.
