chp 13 - Who.

Jennifer 's POV,

Jenny! Our mate wants to mark us!! Ema was now jumping in my head happily and eagerly..

I know both us want to complete our mate bond. But there were certain thing that needs to be cleared.

A vampire and a werewolf. Can it have a happy ending? And the things that Vasu, Mom and Dad said are still roaming around my head.

"Jennifer, are you alright?" Aakash's voice bought me back. He was still close to me. His eyes were intensely watching me.

"Mr. Rathod, there are still some unsolved mysteries that are we need to find answer."

"We're not getting there back! Y-"

"I know. I'm not. It's just about what Vasu said of golden wolf don't have a mate? Then how.."

"He only gave a possibility, not a fact."

"So, what happens now? We both..."

"As long as you accept me, I'm sure we will get through this." And he kissed my forehead. I closed my eyes.

Tell him to mark us!

Ema!!!

I heard a soft chuckle of Rathod.
"You sure have a rare wolf!"

Of course!

"You must be hungry! Anything special you wanna eat?"

You!

Ema!!!

"Anything is fine." I replied and he walked out of the room after kissing once more.

Still laying on the soft white mattress, I stared at the ceiling.

My life.

Ring.....ring....ring...

It was from mom! May be she want to say something that will help me to get through it.

"Mom!" I answered the call but what I didn't expect was a loud cry of my mom.

"Mom what happened? Mom! Can you hear me!"

"Jenny..." this time her voice was sleepy.

"Mom!" and the call ended. I tried to call her again. But it went to voice mail.

"Aakash!" I got out of the bed  only to find Aakash with a tray with some dishes.

" I need to go!" I hurriedly said and made my way to the exit but was quickly embraced by my mate at the door. "Jenny! What happened ?"

"Mom called, she is in danger. She screamed my name. I need to find her."

"I will go with you."

"but.."

"No, buts... i need to make sure that you re safe. Let's go"

We got in his car and made my way to my hometown, while driving I tried to call her again but it was of no use. Even dad was not picking my calls which made me worried more.

"Aakash, can we move faster, I'm really.."

"I know. Hold a little bit we will be there soon." He took my hand in his and kissed my plam. A mere touch of mate can be to intense I never imagined.

As we got closer to my town I was hit by so many memories. My childhood, my teenage, my transformation.

"where do I turn?" Aakash asked and I gave him the direction to my home.

the movement the car stopped I got out immediately and made my way inside my home. Mom! Dad! I called which were left unanswered. I went upstairs, then to their room, and lastly to the roof to find them but I couldn't find them. Just then I heard the foot steps approaching. I turned around and found Aakash.

"They are not here." I whispered sadly kneeling down with my head in my hands. He keeled down taking me in tight hug and patted my head while saying "We will find them, they will be fine."

"Jenny." It was Ema! "what is it Ema?"

" I sense them, they are somewhere near" she answered and I was sure Aaksh heard her but looking at him I sensed that he may have already sensed their scent.

"Let's go. I know where they are." We made our way out of the house to the outskirts of the town.

"you can't come there with me!" I detached myself from him. Of course, a vampire can't cross the werewolf boundary. We live in a pack. If anyone got even a whip of his scent it was over of him. He may be a vampire but can he stand a chance against hundred of werewolf?

"I'm not letting you go alone."

"They are my pack. They won't harm me. And you can sense if anything happens." I creased his cheek, "

Leaving my mate there at the outskirts I followed with scent.

"Jenny, I can smell blood." I prayed that everything was alright.

As I walked, the green canopy slowly started to fade and there I stood in the middle of the ground. I saw Mom, Dad. The were laying there on the ground in their wolf form.

"Mom..., dad...." Even though I called they didn't turned. I saw them hugging each other in their wolf form. Step by step as I got near, a strong smell of blood reached my nose.

My voice got stuck in my throat when I saw them in a pool of their own blood. They weren't breathing, why?! Just why?!

My blood boiled and anger overtook me, each my body part was screaming with pain and I saw red. I heard some popping sound and next I heard myself howling in pain.

Aakash was beside me within a second.

"Jenny!" he called me looking at me with surprise. "We need to head back!"

Are you insane! Someone killed my parents! My Mom! My Dad!

"Jenny, we need to get out of here, I sense your pack. They are coming down here. May be they sensed us!"

"But how could.."

"They can't see you like this. Your Mom and Dad wanted to protect you. They sacrificed their life. We need to head back."

"But-"

"Jennifer! Don't you realise that you shifted! They would know about your wolf!"

And with that said we ran! 

But the thing that i didn't realised was.... we were being  chased and I wasn't myself!
