Jisoo pov.

I didn't know that Chaeyoung could have such hatred towards me. I never meant to hurt her. But somehow, her words still ring in my head. "I don't like you". But what is the reason for Uncle Park to make such a decision? I looked at him. Uncle understood my look and asked me,

"Did your parents tell you the name of that girl."

I hummed then said.

"Rosanne."

"Isn't that rosé?" Lisa gasped.

I looked at her confused.

" Yes, Rosanne is Rosie's English name, Rosanne Park." Alice unnie said.

I jumbed up in shock and looked at everyone.

"Sooya, we met your parents before they died. For business purposes. That's when your father told us about this marriage proposal. In fact, we had such a wish. To give Rosie to someone who can love and care for her. And we are sure you can do that. But we don't have much faith in her boyfriend Jimin . You must agree to this marriage, not for us but for your parents." Auntie Park said.

Then the place was filled with silence. No one dared to say anything. Putting an end to that awkward silence, i cleared my throat.
Everone's attention turned to me.

I smiled slightly at Jennie before looking at uncle Park.

"I tried so much to fullfill the last wish of our dad and mom. In the meantime i had mistakenly assumed that Rosanne might be waiting for me as much as i was waiting for her, despite never seeing her in person. I was really happy when i found out that Chaeyoung is Rosanne. But i didn't know that she hated me the most in her life." I looked down.

I took a deep breath. And then looked at everyone and gave my famous smile. That smile hid many meanings and feelings. That smile is known only to those who know me very closely.

Jennie grabbed my hand and stroked it, as if she knows what i was going to say next.

" Uncle park, With all due respect,I know you want to see us together. But this marriage should not take place without her consent. I respect Rosanne's decision as much as i value my parent's wishes. It's her life and she alone has the right to make all the decisions about her life. Don't force her, please."

After saying this, i got up.
I looked at Jennie . Her teary eyes made me cringe. I held her hand and slowly said,

" Let's go."

She got up after nodding.

"Thanks fo the dinner, Aunty Park. Good night everyone. Nice to see you all. And lisa, we'll see you later."

Holding Jennie by my side, i walked to the door. Everyone came to see us off. But i stopped when i saw Chaeyoung standing on the stairs.

I smiled sweetly at her.

"Good night Chaeyoung, sorry for the trouble." I said.

But she didn't say anything and just looked at me without any emotion.

Jennie pulled me

"Let's go unnie."

I nodded and went out with her.

Rosé pov.

Exhausted from crying and thirsty, i came downstairs thinking that Jisoo must be gone, but i stayed there listening to Jisoo's confession.
I felt guilty for misunderstanding and blaming her. But that doesn't mean i fell in love with her. I don't want to marry her either. I am glad that she stopped this proposal.
