•Chapter 15•

Jisoo pov.

         I ran to the front of the ICU. I saw aunty Park sitting infront of the ICU, crying and exhausted. When she saw me, she ran to me and grabbed my hand. I patted her hand.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine. Let me take a look. Please calm down." I try to calm her down.

Before entering the ICU, i saw Chaeyoung and Alice Unnie nervously running towards us. I went in and put on the mask, gloves and everything. I went to uncle park. He was lying unconscious. His pulse rate was very low on the monitor.

" Don't give up, uncle park. We only have you to call our own."

I whispered in his ear.

" Nurse, check his BP, Yeri get ready the defibrillator." I instruct.

"Ready." Yeri said.

"Give him cardioversion. (Electrical shock)" I informed.

"Ready."

His body rose with each shock. sweat began to fall from my forehead. I wiped it off with my hand.

After 2 hours of effort, his pulse rate returned to normal.
I was relieved when he started breathing normally.

" Thank God."

I looked at my companions and smiled and thanked them.
I looked at Uncle Park.

" Thanks for not giving up Uncle Park."

" Take him to a private room."

I came out to the ICU , Chaeyoung, Aunty Park and Unnie rushed to me when they saw me.

" Jisoo, how is he now?"

Aunty started bombarding me with questions. I understood that she was very scared.
I looked at Chaeyoung, her condition was the same.

"Aunty please calm down."

I held her shoulder and consoled her.

"Uncle Park is fine now. He will be transferred to his room soon. Don't be afraid
Come, let's go to my room and talk. I have a few questions."

I took her and walked to the room, followed by them. I opened the door of the room and brought them to the chair and sat down. Unnie sat next to her and Chaeyoung on the couch. I gave her water to drink. When i was sure that she calmed down, i sat back in my chair.

"Dr. Kim, what happened to dad?"

I looked at Chaeyoung.
I took a deep breath.

"Cardiac arrest, first stage."

Everyone was stunned. Aunty park started crying again.
Unnie calmed her down. I realized that Chaeyoung was still in shock.

" Don't worry, there is nothing wrong with him now. He needs some rest. And please avoid saying or doing things that cause a lot of stress...... But can i know, what happened to him to suddenly get such a shock?"

I saw Chaeyoung lowering her head with sadness.

"Today we went to see Kim and Suzy . He was very emotional,  not being able to fulfill the last wish of his best friends."

She wiped her tears.

"We stayed there for a long time. Suddenly he said that he was having chest pain. I was totally scared. I was scared of losing him." She sobbed.

" Mom, it's okay. He is fine now." Alice unnie caressed her back.

I looked at Chaeyoung and then said to Aunty Park.

"Didn't i say no to this marriage already? This will never make anyone happy, but everyone will be sad......That's true, i decided to marry Rosanne to fulfill my parent's will. But that was my decision....
I didn't see Rosanne's likes or intrests there. That is wrong. My father taught me to never force someone to do something they don't like, so please forget this proposal. And give rosanne the life she likes."

I felt angry when i saw that no one understood Chaeyoung's wishes. Jimin is an asshole but she likes him. Their marriage is to be  fixed, not with mine.

No one said nothing.
Someone knocked on the door.

"Come in."

Yeri came in.

" Dr. Kim, Mr. Park regained his consciousness." Yeri said.

Hearing that, everyone jumbed up.

" Yeri, take them to him." I said.

She nodded.

"Please come with me Mrs. Park." Yeri guides Aunty to Uncle's room.

Everyone went with Yeri . Chaeyoung looked back at me before leaving, but i didn't understand the look on her face.

Rosé pov.

I sighed heavily. As i got closer to dad's room, my heart started beating faster.

I walked in and my father smiled lightly when he saw us. My eyes filled with tears without knowing why. I went to my father.

"Da..d."

I held his hand.

When he came to say something, the door opened and Dr. Kim came in. I moved to a corner.

" How are you now Uncle Park? Are you feeling better?" She smiled.

"Thank you so much Jisoo . I thought i would die without seeing my children." Dad said with a smile.

" Mason..." Mom yelled.

" Oops... Sorry sweet heart." I playfully rolled my eyes.

Dr. Kim chuckled.

" Anyway, Don't stress yourself anymore. We were so worried about you."

Dr. Kim says in a worried voice.

" Not anymore. I don't leave you guys. I decided to leave my all business to Rosé and then take Clare on a vacation."

I widden my eyes.

" That's cool. Anyway i'm leaving. I have many patients to attend to. Take care of yourself uncle." She smiled and make her way out.

"Ofcause, and thank you again Sooya ." He said.

"It's my duty to do. So don't thank me."

She smiled and winked at my father and went out. She didn't even look at me. I sat there like a statue.

"Did she decide to marry me just to fulfill her parents wish? Wasn't she in love with me?"
