AND so the promise was kept. for now. they did see eachother again. but not under the best circumstances.

laena velaryon was dead. the news had soon enough reached the court, presenting themselves to the king and his family.

daemyra couldn't say she was sad, after all she barely knew the woman, no, she was in fact content, because it meant she would see jace again.

the targaryen girl knew it was wrong to be looking forward for someone's funeral, but she simply couldn't help it. she was thrilled.

it didn't take long for the family to arrive at drifmark, and as soon as daemyra knew, she was standing around the velaryon descent's coffin.

"we join today at the seat of the sea to commit the lady laena of house velaryon to the eternal waters, the dominion of the merling king where he will guard her for all days to come. as she sets to sea for her final voyage, the lady laena leaves two true-born daughters on the shore."

the ceremony had a grey and gloomy ambience to it, as if the gods themselves knew someone had passed. the mere though sent shivers down the girl's spine.

suddenly, a laugh brought her back from the depths of her mind. it was daemon.

immediately, daemyra faces the man, her dark eyes shocking with his green ones, none of them backing down. the white haired man decided in that moment that he liked the girl and was proud to call her family. maybe it was because she reminded him of himself on his younger days, or perhaps even another certain targaryen came to his mind, filling up his thoughts in seconds.

"from the sea we came. to the sea we return."

the girl knew that sentence could never be directed to her. she had never felt any connection whatsoever with the sea and it's mysterious life. no, she felt connected with fire. she could feel it every day, running through her veins and keeping her body going. she was fire, destructive when being kept without vigilance, deathly even, ending everything it came in contact with. and only one thing could put her out, a certain boy who allegedly had water running through his veins instead.

with the dragon wings flapping above them, the two targaryen sisters were sitting on the cold floor, supposedly a truly unladylike thing to do, but neither of them could care less.

"hand turns loom; spool of green, spool of black; dragons of flesh, weaving dragons of thread." heleana said outloud, a dreamy look on her pale face.
