Everyone was safe. And that was the most important thing. With everyone free from danger, we could finally focus on getting information about the terrifying creature that showed up at the gig. The whole group, consisting of Seungjun, Minkyun, Changyun and I already knew who to ask about the monster.
We walked up to the boy who helped people evacuate the venue. He was talking to some of the security staff, probably discussing if every person who attended the concert was safe.
"Hi Yuto!"
He seemed a bit surprised when he heard his name being called, but he immediately let out a relieved sigh as soon as he saw us.
We were introduced to Yuto by Minkyun. Minkyun became a teacher's helper at one point during his last year of training and that's how the two met. Yuto was an excellent student, he just lacked confidence sometimes, but he always says that he was able to open up a bit thanks to Minkyun's extroverted personality. Minkyun truly is a great friend and a prominent source of emotional support. No wonder everyone loves him this much. He is also Yuto's greatest role model; the young boy often visited Minkyun's guild to help even when he still wasn't done with his studies. This boy really has a bright future in front of him."Oh hi guys! I'm so glad to see you're all safe! I was worried sick, but it seems no one got injured."
I smiled at him. We were all so proud of him, as always. He handled the situation so professionally. We showered him in compliments because he totally deserved them. He was pretty embarrassed, but we just had to thank him for what he did. He smiled at us widely. He seemed so happy that he was able to help people. In the end, that's his greater goal in life. And it's such an admirable aspiration.
Seungjun cleared his throat.
"Yuto, did you perhaps see the monster from up close? Did you notice anything odd?"
We gave Yuto some seconds to think.
"I did, at least I think so. I've never seen anything like that, but to my knowledge, it looked like a hummingbird. I mean, at least in its beak and the colors of its feathers. Of course it was a lot bigger than a normal hummingbird, but I thought maybe someone used black magic on it to make it aggressive and terribly mutated. Oh, I also noticed something shiny on its back, but I wasn't able to properly take a look at it for obvious reasons."
He stopped for a while, probably thinking about some more details that might have been useful.
In the meantime, Seungjun pulled me by my arm just a few meters away from the group."Do you think the shiny object he saw on its back is what I think it is?"
He whispered. I nodded. It couldn't have been anything else.
We returned to the group. Suddenly, my stomach jumped as I realized we would have to tell that terrible story again. But we had to. Yuto had to know. In the end, all five of us have always been very close to him. He often says we're like his older brothers. He's an absolute sweetheart. And breaking his heart like that would have been incredibly painful. But, alas, we had no alternative.
After a quick but intense rundown of the events, we stood in silence for what seemed like ages. Yuto was looking down, unable to let out a single word. A tear ran down his cheek. The four of us immediately noticed and got closer to him and soon all five of us wrapped our arms around each other in a big, comforting group hug. Tears started falling again, from all the ten eyes of the five people involved. There weren't many people around thankfully, as we moved to a more secluded part of the hall. We could cry all we wanted without any worries. And we really, really needed to. Those past few days were such an emotional rollercoaster, and crying is always a good way to let bad emotions out.
After a few minutes, we all calmed down. The atmosphere was extremely gloomy but at least we weren't crying anymore. And we were all together. We could rely on one another. We weren't alone.
