After a brief struggle Beloniil had the two dead corpses layed before him. "Time to find out what's going on here." Beloniil said admiring the architecture that stood before him. "Hm?" Beloniil put his hand on the center but instantly regretted it as a spike arose and skewered his hand, but as it withdrew he was amazed what happened next. "Whoa!" Beloniil said as blue light began arising. After a confusing 15 minutes of moving stone pegs Beloniil finally got the pieces into place. "What the-" a stone structure arose. "A slab is moving." Beloniil said as he prepared his sword. And as the slab fell a unknown figure fell, it was... "A woman?" Beloniil said as the unknown lady picked herself up. "What... Where am i? Who are you?" the lady asked. "Who are you?" Beloniil questioned back. "i'd expect you to be someone like me." She asked. "Are you?" Beloniil began. "A vampire? yes." Beloniil realized what the dawnguard would have wanted. "Why are you here?" Beloniil asked. "It's... Complicated... Look i don't have time for questions i just need to get home, and find my family." "Family?" Beloniil said raising an eyebrow. "Yes by the coast by Solitude you'll find a dock, in the distance you can see a tower, Volkihar Towers, that's my home... Can you get me there?" The lady asked. Beloniil hesitated, the young woman was in need, and how could he refuse to help. "Just stay outta my way." Beloniil said nodding. "I was gonna say the same thing." The lady said smirking. "Oh and i'm Serana." she said answering the question they had left behind. "Beloniil." Beloniil said crouching. "Let's get going." Serana said. Suddenly there was explosions. "More of them!" Beloniil said stamping is foot as gargoyles made their way down the steps. "I agree." Serana said drawing a dagger. "A woman who can fight." Beloniil thought to himself mentally smirking at her vigor bravado. "They always get in the way, i remember when dad tried to some still and they gored the painter." Serana said calmly as she shattered one with magic. "Wait? are you trying to absorb life essence from stone?" Beloniil said lowering his weapon seeing her casting life absorption on the giant creatures. "If it has life, it can be absorbed." Serana said. "WHOA!" Beloniil said ducking as Serana shot a lightning bolt over his head. "Never lower your weapon!" Serana said as the gargoyle crumbled. "Well then." Beloniil said indignantly as they walked through a cave opening. "Who taught you to fight?" Serana asked laughing. "I find out for myself... Thank you." Beloniil said. "Been like that since the chopping block." "Chopping block?" Serana asked. "I was at Helgen when a dragon... The first of many... Attacked." Beloniil said getting nostalgic. "Ay buddy back to present time." Serana said snapping her fingers. "Anyway... How long have you been in there?" Beloniil said. "I dunno who's the high king?" Serana asked. "That's up for debate." Beloniil said crouching behind an entrance. "Oh goody, glad the world hasn't gotten boring since i slept." Serana said grinning. "It's a matter between the empire and the people of skyrim." Beloniil said. "Wait? what empire?" Serana asked stopping in her tracks. "Sh! skeletons are near, but the empire of Cyrodill." Beloniil said looking slightly ahead. "I must have slept longer then i thought." Serana said looking to the side and lowering her weapon. "Longer then we planned." Beloniil could tell she was scared, so he did what he could putting a hand on her shoulder. "Thanks... Let's go." Serana said bringing her posture back.
I was told to make chapters longer so i hope this is fine.
