Before you... (Norray)

Chapter 03

Emma's POV>

And this is exactly what I feared. Ray looks ticked off and Norman looks confused. I expected angry swearing to come from Rays mouth but he didn't say anything. He sat across from Norman making sure it give him a glare every so often.

Thinking about it really the 2 boys were opposites. Norman had a calm graceful aura to him. Level-headed is a good way to put it and a soft smile he liked to show off.Ray on the other hand Ray wasn't one to smile often, and a definite pessimist. A somewhat short-temper and a love for routines.
"Ray knock it off Norman's super nice, so grow up," Gilda blurts out. Ray let's our a sigh "fine, I won't be re introducing myself though we've met," Norman smiles at this response from Ray. "I was thinking we could hang out in the park after school," I add with a smile. The others agree even Ray. We all plan to meet up around 5:00.

Norman's POV>

As I sit at the table surrounded by my new friends (well other then maybe Ray I'm
not sure that he's to thrilled about me) there's one thing I can't miss. Every so often Emma just stares at Gilda. Except as soon as Gilda and Emma's eyes actually meet they both look away all to quickly. I decide to brush this off as some sort of tension between the friends, maybe an argument? Anyways now the only thing on my mind is the park after school, everything else is just a obstacle to get to 5:00.

(4:45that day)

As I arrive at the park nobody's there except Ray. He's sitting in the grass with his nose in a book, I walk a bit closer then when I'm close enough I recognize it's a favorite book of mine! "I love that book!" I smile. He looks up at me and mumbles "me too." I smile a bit " I just love how the author describes that one scene, with the sunset and then Gia and Mary kiss! But then James catches them and.."

I look down at Ray and he's looking up at me and our eyes lock. We just stare at each others eyes. That's it. "Hey guys!!" Emma shouts running towards us. "Wait uppp!" Gilda whines running just behind Emma.

Emma's POV>
(A few minutes previously)
Me and Gilda walk to the park "Did you like Norman?" Gilda asks me. I nod "yeah he seems super cool, I hope he didn't think I'm annoying." Gilda looks at me confused. "Why would he think that?" she asks. I shrug "I've been told I'm a little to much sometimes like I'm to optimistic or to loud and.. I don't kno-" Im
In the middle of my sentence but Gilda grabs my hand and I stop (stop walking and talking). "Emma your really cool ok? I honestly find you optimism refreshing," Gilda says while looking into my eyes. She lets go of my hand and we continue to the park. I feel warmth well up into my cheeks and I smile a bit more then usual.

(Back to present time)

Gilda finally reaches us and plops down onto the grass and we all just talk. As Gilda talks about cats she smiles, I like that it's cute. Shit. I think Gildas cute? Do I like her? No, I can't. No way.

Gilda POV>
(The next day)
I open my locked and out falls a note. In big blue sharpie the name "Atlas" is written on it. Did he really break into my school to leave me this. I open it up and begin to read...

'Hey Gilda uhm I know I've been busy recently and all but I had to leave this for you. Gilda to tell you the truth I think I'm in love. You know her, she has green hair and cute glasses she's got this beautiful gray eyes and the most adorable smile. I want to take her everywhere, I want to cuddle her on the stormy days. Anyways do you think she'd date me?
