JARED'S POV:

The door of my room slammed shut, but not by me. I'm standing alone in my room with someone, isolated from everyone but my father.

He grabbed my hand and sat me down in my bed. No matter how hard I tried stifling a cry, he's the only person I could trust in this shit hole.

We exchanged zero words with one another, just me crying and him hugging me. Softly shushing me and rubbing my back until I fell asleep on him.

As the morning arrived the next day, I laid in my bed with my covers on me. Father laid next to me aswell, sleeping sound. He either chose to not leave my side or was too tired to go back to his room with Dawide.

I sat up from in my bed, scooting off of it to head to the bathroom and freshen up. Once I finished, father laid still and sound. He slept peacefully as Dawide peeked into my room. He seemed a bit afraid but seeing his face ruins my mood.

"Get 'tout!" I exclaimed loud enough for him to hear me and leave but not loud enough to wake up father. I changed my clothes for today and left to train at the gym.

Dawide kept trying to bother me but I just scoffed, and pointed my middle finger at him each chance I got so once I arrived at the gym, I finally got some peace and quiet.

When I walk in, into the gym — all my mates and some other campers were there doing bench presses or pull-ups on the equipment.

I let out a relieved sigh as I got straight to work getting some cardio and some health wellness in.

OSCIERE'S POV:

I have been awake for a while now, I just tried sleeping in more so I'd have to avoid arguing with Marcus again.

Honestly, it's a bit of a pain having to argue with him all the time. Though despite whatever I and Dawide do, he just won't adapt to his mother's passing.

I huffed out some air through my mouth as I sat alone in Marcus's bedroom which was large and spacious. No matter the amount of clutter it had, it felt empty since a person was missing to fill the void. All because he refuses to accept his new life, but I get it.

Losing a parent and watching them find someone else and be happy, I know how that feels.

At least he still has someone to care for him, I never did.

Anyways, I stretched out my arms and yawned. Once I got up, I see Dawide peeking in through the door. "Are- are you awake now or did you just wake up?" He asked.

"I'm wide awake now that you're here. C'mon!" I exclaimed, opening my arms for him to run into them so I could give him a hug. He quickly shook his head, slamming the door shut and hearing his footsteps thump away from the door.
