"my diamond.. I wish to be reassigned to someone. To be their guard." Charoite began, "I have experience with beings over higher power, such as a diamond like yourself"

"You wish to protect a diamond? Even after your error whilst protecting your own?" Yellow diamond spoke, but not with hatred. No, she was more amused by the request than anything, which wasn't really a confidence boost.

"Yes, or a sapphire, whatever you would give me. Please, I cannot fathom ever doing anything different, this is my life's purpose."

"Well, I suppose I could station you outside of blues quarters, this means you will have to be stationed there until dismissed. You are aware of this yes? I hope you haven't become too used to sleeping on earth."

Charoite shook her head, "No my diamond, I did not. I am aware of my requirements, and I'm aware that if I were to fail the only rightful punishment is shattering."

Yellow snickered just a bit, "We don't shatter anymore dear. But yes, as long as you understand your duties, we can send you to work right away."

"Thank you, oh thank you my diamond." Charoite bowed her head, "If it pleases my diamond, I shall dawn on my armor and get to work immediately."

"While you are doing so, I will talk to blue and inform her of her new posting. Away with you now." Yellow shooed away the smaller gem as she stood up and walked out of the room, heading off to her sister's quarters.

Charoite let out a fat sigh of relief and joy, she had a posting again, a purpose. And it felt wonderful. She held in her excitement, quickly rushing out of the room, and instead she rushed to the 'armory', really it was where gems would go to relax in the old days, but it had many custom fit armors, made by the old bismuth's of homeworld.

She took her time to dawn her armor on, having to change her appearance for it. But sure enough, it fit just like a glove. And boy was that a relief, she thought maybe after the war they would've discarded of the sets

She practiced her salute for her diamond before she left, being sure her armor didn't get in the way of her range of motion, which it didn't. She then walked out of the armory, making her way through the halls and to the doors of blue diamonds quarters.

Though, once charoite stopped Infront of the door, fixing to face her back to it, she heard it open.

She quickly looked up, coming face to face with blue diamond. She was beautiful. A painting of glory, grace, and sheer radiance beyond anything she had ever remembered.

"My diamond" Charoite spoke, her words being more heavy then she intended them to be. But it was true, she wasn't just a universal gem anymore.. blue diamond was her diamond, the place that she belonged..
