"Mmmmm..." I said while munching into the cookies. They were so good. Gooey but firm. Loved it. I am obsessed with food. All types of food except for sea food, yuck.! I love food, I would die without food, it is really necessary."Mama Jean, wow, you really out did yourself this time! These are beyond describable!"

Matt seemed extremely content, he was already on his 3rd cookie. While we were munching on the cookies that were freshly out of the oven, Mama Jean was also cooking us some chicken tenders. Dessert before dinner = happy Kayla "Need any help?" I asked while wiping the leftover crumbs on my jeans.

"No dear, just finish those cookies." Mama Jean said. "Does your mom have to work tomorrow too? I was wondering if you and Matt would like to go the grocery store with me?" Mama Jean wet a paper towel and started wiping it around Matt's mouth. He was a mess! I laughed not noticing that his face looked like he had poop smeared all over it.

"Umm.. I'm not sure. I think so, she normally does on Tuesdays. I am pretty sure the calendar said she worked from 2-9. I can't go tomorrow though." I said kind of sadly. Stupid history project. I loved going places with Mama Jean. She was like the Grandma I always wanted. Heck, she practically is. I have known her since I was a baby, and tell her everything that pops into my mind. "I have to work on this history project with Rachel"

"Okay thats fine. Maybe you and me, Matt?" She asked while looking at him.

"Yes! Can I buy candy?"

"Of course hunny! Not too much though, I don't want you to be bouncing off the walls from too much sugar!" Her brown eyes sparkled from laughing at her own joke. "Maybe then your sister can actually do some of her project! What is it on?" It looked like a smile was stamped onto her face, it never left her!

I shrugged my shoulders "Hahaa! I wish I knew!! Something about Mexicans maybe. Or Amish. Maybe Jews. I don't know." I sighed. "Mama Jean, history is my sleeping class, not learning."

She looked at me and giggled. "Same here, history was never interesting. Who would want to know about all the dead people!? They are dead! Who cares!" I laughed at that too. I wanted to say that same thing but felt it would be inappropriate, but since she is old, she can do whatever her heart pleases except for clubbing, Mama Jean at a party chugging some shots. Scary image there.

When we eat at my house, you have to be either in the kitchen or dining room, but at Mama Jean's home, you can eat wherever you want! I love it! We ate our chicken tenders dipped in ketchup with a few cucumbers and ranch on the side in the living room. Her house was smaller then mine. More homey. It looks like someone actually lives here. Our house is extremely clean. Ever since dad passed away mom has taken to cleaning, excessively. The decorations in my house are nice, and it has the Cane Family style which is basically relaxed and calm but fancy at the same time.

I think it would be hard to have a fancy house with kids in it, but celebrities seem to manage well. All though they do have maids and a nanny watching over their kids twenty-four seven.

I love my house, don't get me wrong, but it is too big for us. We don't need it anymore. It isint important to me like it used to be, it is not what the house is, but the family that occupies it. Family is most valuable to me.

We all spread out across the couch and enjoyed an episode of Franklin, the turtle dude. When it was over, Matt was getting restless so he went into the cabinet underneath her television, and he brought out a coloring book and some pencils. Mama Jean had a humongous stack of toys in that little cabinet, but Matt mostly stuck to the coloring. That was one thing interesting about him. He loved to scribble and color.

While he was occupied, we watched an episode of The Cosby Show. No matter how many times I have seen this episode. It always made me laugh, and spending it with one of the most important people in this world to me, made it even better.

"Thanks for the food Mama Jean!" I said while giving her a hug while she kissed my cheek. " I'll bring Matt over right after school, then bring him back whenever you want. Love you! Thanks for everything."

"Will do. Bye Kay, love you! Try and pay attention in school tomorrow..okay?" I chuckled, sighing and agreeing that I will.

"Bye Mama Jean! Love you See you tomorrow!" Matt said while hugging her legs. Once he was done and she said the same, he put his hand in mine and walked back to our house.
