Alina looked down at the body in front of her. He had really deserved to die, so she didn't have any qualms about killing him, in fact, the world would be better off without him. She let a solitary giggle slip out of her mouth before she quickly stopped herself from anything close to hysterical laughter. She knew Ivan would be in the forest watching, she had heard him earlier following her in. There was a pang of some feeling she couldn't quite identify when she thought of him. Alina briefly wondered if he'd tell the police, or maybe even try to kill her himself. "Ah well, no use in going backwards, let the chips fall where they may," she thought. She skipped down the red brick pathway, never forgetting the blood that dripped from the knife at her side. And there he was, just as predicted. Alina opened her mouth, not even thinking of speaking, and yet. "Are you coming handsome?" The words just slipped out of her mouth with the same flirtatious nickname she had given him when they first met. He just stood there. Poor guy didn't know what to do. Alina sighed inwardly, he probably needed a push to do anything. "Oh, just follow me." She let another giggle slip through her lips at the thought of the blood on the knife. "Better get going," she thought. And so, motioning to Ivan to follow, she used her stylistic flounce to carry her far away from the crime scene and into the moonlit forest. Ivan, left with no choice, followed behind, occasionally staring back at the body of the dead man with wide eyes, not knowing what else to do.
