Chihiro woke up to the sound of her alarm clock. She moaned, rolling over and rubbing her eyes. She had that dream again. She was sweating and had tear stained cheeks. "Haku..." She asked quietly. It was just a dream.

Chihiro slipped on her uniform and ran from her house on the hill. She was late. Again. She entered the classroom silently. "Chihiro, we all hear you. Just get to your seat." The teacher called. "Yes Ma'am." She said quickly. She sat and imediatly started drawing a dragon. Haku, her best friend, snatched the journal and flipped through the pages. It was the same dragon on every page. Some even had an elaborate picture of a bath house or a mask. "Chihiro! What is this?" She asked. "Nothing." She said, grabbing her notebook. "Isnt that counsuling helping at all? You're still having those dreams, aren't you?" Chihiro didn't answer. Haru just shook her head and looked up. "You're getting worse, Chihiro."
Chihiro didn't normally go to lunch anymore. She sat under a tree and drew. She closed her eyes and felt the wind blow through her hair. She suddenly thought of the day she met Haku.
'I stood on a bridge." She started. 'what are you doing here? He asked me. 'Get out of here before it gets dark.... Ah, they're lighting the lamps. You must go, I'll distract them!' She thought as if the wind that blew her hair was the breath he kept out as he saved her life. She felt a tap on her shoulder. "Haku!" She exclaimed, jumped up. But it was Haru. "Chihiro, what are you talking about?" She asked. She saw her quickly glance at the dragon. "Chihiro!! You've gone mad!" She shouted. "Please Haru, don't tell my mom. She'll flip out. And I REALLY don't want another 2 1/2 years of counseling." Chihiro begged. "The things I do for you." Haru rolled her eyes.
Chihiro grabbed her bag and left school, walking down the busy street. It was full of shops and people. She reached her house and entered. "I'm home!" She called to nobody in particular. She ran into her room and shut the door. Opening the closet, she pulled out a white and green striped shirt and coral colored shorts. She kept her hair in a ponytail with the magic ribbon at all times. Almost instantly, Chihiro fell asleep.
