After Chihiro disappeared through the tunnel, Haku sprinted to Yubaba's bath house and into her office. "Hello Haku." She greeted as kindly as she could, using her cracky voice.
"My name is not Haku." He paused. "Nor are you my master any longer."
"Oh? How is that?" She replied slyly.
"My name is Kohaku. Kohaku River and now I know my name, you can no longer control me."
"Where will you go, Kohaku? You have no home."
"I will live in the human world. It's better than this old bath house anyway. I'll live in the newest town, be a normal boy." He said.
"Then get out of my sight. I don't want to see you again." She dismissed him.
"You could at least start me off." He said annoyed. Yubaba snapped and Haku disappeared.

When he woke up, Haku was in a bed. In a house. He stood up and was suddenly in a severe discomfort. His clothes wear no longer a bath house uniform, but denim jeans and a button down t-shirt. His hair was nicely cut.
He walked outside and he saw and smelt humans everywhere. It stunk. He quickly walked back inside and saw a note on the table.
"Haku, I have enrolled you in the closest school. I hope you enjoy your new life.
-Zeniba"
Haku lay in his bed and closed his eyes. This was going to be so much different.
"Good morning class. We have a new student. His name is Kohaku." The teacher introduced. All the children stayed silent. He took his seat and quietly took notes. At lunch, nobody sat with him. So he climbed a tree and curled up in one of the branches, and for a split second, he swore he saw Chihiro sitting below him. His eyes flashed a familiar green.
