I stalked down the corridor, Commander Aspen following quickly by my side, the noisy footsteps from the small terran were driving me mad. Her boots were noisy- her breathing was just as loud as she struggled to keep pace.
"Maybe we should slow down for the terran?" Aspen glanced back warily as she hurried around a corner to catch up. I glanced over my shoulder, meeting her dark brown wide eyes, her dark hair flowing behind her in a current.
"No" I turned away and continued before hitting a padlock on a doorway that led to the inner corridor that led to the cockpit.
"Sir" Both his tracker, and hunter straightened at the side of the doorway.
Aspen sent them both approving looks before he hit the doorway, and it hissed open. Their eyes strayed to the terran who was practically wheezing, when I turned I caught sight of her plant a hand on the corner of the corridor.
She sent me a dark look before making the last dash and heaving over, her breathing ragged. I stared down at her exposed neck- her hair falling over her shoulders like a waterfall.
"weak things" I murmured quietly.
She didn't respond like I knew she would- another bolt drilled in that she was incapable of hearing.
"So the terran really can't hear?" The warrior, Rasha whispered quietly, as if she would respond with a backhand. "It appears so" His hunter, Bor nodded while watching her as well.
She finally raised her head to find everyone staring at her, either out of curiosity or of mockery.
She flicked her hand, making two swift movements, before slipping past them in a hurry.
Once I crossed the threshold- chaos broke out.
"Tell your men to bring their ship back right now!" Prince Leon bellowed- shooting up from his seat, a snarl on his face.
I took a step back, and eyed everyone in the room. The only ones inside were Alice, Khan, His majesty, the prince, Nigel and the flying terran.
I stepped further in- finding the female sitting in a chair, relaxing as if she'd run a mile run.
"What do you mean?" I spoke evenly, before Nigel jutted his clawed finger towards the screen where indeed on display was the security footage of one of my cruisers. In it were three warriors who straightened- claws slapped over their chests.
With my emblem on them.
"What is going on here?" I demanded of my warriors when I spotted the female behind them who chewed on her bottom lip.
"Sir, we did not know she was aboard our vessel when we took off- we were being deployed back to baracov to help with the rebuilding of the city- This was an accident" The commanding pilot blurted, his black eyes wide with fear.
"I don't care if you bring that female back! Baracov is nowhere near ready! Turn that vessel around!" I snarled, stalking towards the console, my lips curling.
The copilot leaned forward- frowning.
"We understand the implications sir, but we've entered the rift- this cruiser does not have the fuel nor power to turn back now. If we did we would have no means of heading to baracov again. This cruiser would be inoperable. We do not know if it has enough power to go back" He spoke, glancing at the generator data no doubt.
The King cursed and started to pace.
Another voice cut in and I whirled around to another screen, it was from Nigel's fleet, the terran who was picked up in the city was on the screen, a scowl on his face.
