Cale turned and glance at Mammon who is huffing. Mammon then grab Cale's shoulders. This action made Cale confused.
“I need ya to gimme a place to lay low for a bit.”
Cale's brows furrowed. He suddenly felt a sense of deja vu. If Mammon approach him like this, it could only mean one thing.
Cale then sigh.
“What did you do this time?”
Mammon sweat dropped. He then let go the grip on Cale's shoulders, and scratch his cheek.
“..Eh, I got busted for bein’ in a bit debt.”
“A bit?”
“Lucifer's hot on my trail, so yeah.”
Seeing Cale's expression, Mammon quickly averted his eyes on the other side, not wanting to looked at Cale's gaze.
“Mammon, have you tried burdening your brother with fewer headaches?”
Diavolo interjected.
🔥: Heh, deja vu.
Cale heard the cheapskate scoff on his head, and suddenly felt like he was making fun of him or was it his imagination?
“Why would I care? His business ain't none of mine.”
Cale looked at Mammon as if he is stupid. He then scoffed.
“If you didn't care at all, then you wouldn't be running now, would you?”
“Indeed.”
Diavolo agrees to what Cale just said.
“I'd wager you're at least afraid of the consequences.”
Diavolo added. But this greatly offended Mammon, thinking that it was an insult (but it wasn't).
“Huuuuh? The Great Mammon ain't scared of nothin’.”
Mammon proudly said. Obviously, no one believe that shit.

🌪️: How many times did he just lie obviously in front of Cale?
🛡️: A thousand times.
Cale scoffed. Mammon already said this many times but neither Cale or the demon brothers believe such nonsense.
“Oh, really?”
Cale intensely gaze at Mammon as he crossed his arms. Seeing Cale's expression, Mammon suddenly felt nervous. He seen this look many times and it didn't end well.
“Hey, what's with that look..?”
Mammon nervously asked.
“Hm..”
Diavolo was thinking intensely. Mammon notice that and started speaking.
“C'mon, Lord Diavolo, ya don't have to play along.”
“What's all the fuss about?”
“Whatever it is, it certainly seem like fun.”
Both Solomon and Simeon interjected.
“Hello, Solomon, Simeon. You see..Mammon was just saying that there isn't a single thing he's frightened of.”
