Chapter Four: A Second Chance.

Chapter 4: A Second Chance.

(Sakiko P.O.V)

Being tied, starving, while looking at your teammates eat is not fun. Plus, there's the lack of sleep catching up on me. And now, I learn that we have a second part to the exam and that we were supposed to work in team. Damn it! Why didn't she just tell us? Misao seems so angry and so utterly disgusted by my very existence that I want to disappear from the earth's surface. Natsume is about to start eating, then, his chopsticks half way to his mouth, he looks at me.

" I can't do that. Why don't have a plate? I just can't eat knowing that you are starving here, in front of me!" he says.

"It's ok. I'm not even..." I started until my stomach growled loudly in indignation. "You liar! I'm dying here! Fill me up, idiot!" it told me.

I feel my cheeks blushing.

"... ok, honestly I am starving, but I don't deserve to eat. I was the cause to all the problems of the team"

"Natsume-kun, divide your plate in three. You can eat two thirds of it and you give the rest to Sakiko. I'm doing the same."

"Nice idea Misao-chan" answers Natsume.

I was about to complain when she shut me up.

" You shut up! I'm not doing this for you or anything. It's for the team work! You really are a pain in the ass! What did you think!? You should feel guilty! We all could have failed because of your stupidity! But if we let you just like that we'll have to protect you even more in the second part and sensei never said a single thing about not feeding you! Now you're going to do as I say and shut the fuck up!"

I was so shocked by her sudden outburst that I just looked at her with wide eyes and ate like a baby when she fed me. I didn't say a single thing during the lunch time, nor listen to the discussion Natsume-kun tried to have with Misao-chan.

(Misao P.O.V.)

When we had finished the test, I couldn't think how useless my partners were. I mean, Sakiko just got in the way and we were forced to protect. Plus, Natsume is a total idiot. Maybe his speed is amazing but his brain is less than useless. Anyway, I should really think of something else or I will get depressed. I just started to concentrate on eating not thinking much and not talking when a noise got me out of my thoughts. It was Sakiko's stomach. Yeah, it's true she is starving...Well I should give her some food, otherwise she will be more useless than before.

"Natsume-kun, divide your plate in three, you can it two thirds of it and you give the rest to Sakiko and I'm doing the same."

"Nice idea Misao-chan" answered Natsume.

She was about to complain but I just didn't want to listen to her. I mean, how could she even complain? She basically could have screwed all our freaking ninja career for her stupid damn useless little self.. Oh my gosh...I'm mean. I really should work on that...

For the rest of dinner, we stayed quiet, except for Natsume-kun who tried to have a conversation. I was not in the mood. He finally understood and stopped talking alone. Yumi-sensei came a little bit later.
