"Morning, baby." Cass woke me up with her sweet voice. I glanced over to the alarm clock. It was 10:17 am. I guess I had fallen asleep after my bathroom ritual.
"Morning," I mumbled back sleepily. I loved Cass. I could tell she was my soulmate. But, I needed to work my way up to dating her.
"How are you so far?"
"I'm great," I lied. "So, I've been thinking. What if....ummm... would you like to...uh...."
"Spit it out already!" Cass joked.
"Ok," Here we go. "Would like to go on a date with me?" I breathed heavily, terrified of her answer.
"I would love to!" She replied. "When would we go? And where?" I hadn't thought about that yet.
"We could go to the diner that's downtown tomorrow night." I proposed.
"Tomorrow night is a school night, silly. I may be able to 'rock your world'," Cass joked. "But I do need to stay on task with my studies. How about we go next Friday instead?"
"That sounds great!" I was already so excited.
Cass started planning. "Ok, it will be a casual date, right? Of course," She answered herself. "We can get dinner at the diner then I hear that there is a beach about twenty minutes away from here. Do you want to go there?"
"Sure." I said ecstatically. I was very excited and couldn't wait.----------------------------------------------
The rest of the weekend went by like usual. Cass left around 1:00 in the afternoon Saturday and I did my homework. After I did my homework I watched Netflix and ate dinner. I spent Sunday switching back and forth from watching Netflix and looking up good first date tips.----------------------------------------------
I woke up Momday morning groaning. I got dressed in black skinny jeans and an oversized dark red sweatshirt paired with gray sneakers. I brushed through my hair. Then I did my makeup. Today was a kind of a "dark" day, so I continued that theme with my makeup as well. I coated my eyelid in gray eyeshadow and winged black eyeliner. I stuck on clumpy black mascara, and swiped maroon lipstick over my lips. I left the earrings that had been in my ears for 3 days stay there.
I snatched my backpack of the floor, threw in my earbuds and a pack of mint gum and ran downstairs. As I swept into the kitchen I grabbed a blueberry muffin and ran out the door with saying a word to him or my stepmom. He could go to hell for all I could care.
My only hope was that I would be able to make it through the day and rest of the week. One thing that kept me going was Cass's and my date on Friday, along with the surprise I had for her.AUTHOR'S NOTE:
I know I haven't updated for a long time and I sorry about that. I have horrible writers block, but I'll try to block the writers block. 😉 Anyway I hope you enjoy and I love you all very much, have a great day! 😘
