We drove and got there at about 8:30. When we finally got there I turned off the car and turned to Cass.

"Hold on." I said as I opened the door and stepped out of the car, carefully closing the door. I walked around to the trunk and popped it open.

"What are you doing?" Cass asked me. "You aren't going to turn out to be a crazy axe-murderer, are you?" I laughed and shook my head, then realized that she still had the blindfold and wouldn't be able to see me.

"No I won't. Don't worry." I finished pulling things out of the trunk, and closed it. I scratched at my legs, my nimble fingers tracing over the scars. Whatever. I don't care about that right now. For now, let's just pretend that Cass and I are the only ones in the world.

I walk around the car to Cass's door and open it for her, then help her out. She goes to take off the blindfold. I stop her.

"Sorry, not yet. Give me about ten more minutes, please."

"Ok fine. But this better be an amazing surprise." She joked, shaking her finger at me. I worked hard for ten minutes or so on the surprise. I was finally done, and it looked perfect.

"Ok, are you ready?" I asked Cass.

"Yes! I have been waiting for ever!"

"Ok!" I walked her over to the spot where I had everything set up. "Alright. I am going to pull off the blindfold now." I reached over her head and slowly slid the blindfold off.

Cass opened her eyes and her mouth fell open automatically. She turned around and flung her arms around me, pulling me in tightly.

"This is amazing, Riley! I love you so much!"

"I love you, too."

We were at a beach near our town. I had set up a bunch of pillows and comforters on the sand, not too far away from the water. I also had some sliced up fruit, and brought some of Cass's favorite types of junk food. I sat down and beckoned her to join me. She sat next to me, and scooted closer to me.

"I have an idea!" Cass spoke suddenly.

"What is it?"

"You'll see!" She jumped up and straightened out her shorts, then ran towards the rumbling waves. She threw off her shirt, left in a bra and jean shorts. She ran into the water, leaping over waves excitedly. "C'mon in!"

Alright I guess I'm doing this. I followed her lead, stripping out of my shirt, left in shorts and a bra. I sprinted towards her, jumping over a wave and tripping, only to be caught by her. We really were an amazing couple. She looked so beautiful against the night sky, moon beams shining through bits of her golden hair.

"What are you thinking about, Riley?"

"Just how much I love you and how beautiful you are."

"Aww... I love you too, baby!"

We kissed under the moon. The waves crashed down around us, engulfing our legs. I loved her.
