[how is it...? please i must know. ttyl]

My forehead stings as I hold my face. Groaning in pain as I lay on the ground. Holding back every urge to scream and kick my feet. Inhaling sharp breaths through my teeth as Soap inspects my wound and Ghost keeps watch. He's pressing a cloth against the bleeding cut as I blink to try and get my eyes to focus again.

"Up you get love," Ghost helps Soap as they stand me up.

"Someone must have escaped from the lower floors," I mutter as Ghost lifts me onto a counter with one arm, the other holding his gun. "Fuck,"

Seeing as we landed on the roof and grappled down to the top floors we wouldn't have known if the bottom floors were cleared yet. Soap wraps the cut as I anxiously tap my fingers on my leg. I think of the last radio call before closing my eyes. I grab my radio and make a quick call to check and see how the other teams are doing. Soap and Ghost watch as I start pacing and I raise a finger to my mouth, placing my nail between my lips.

"Frostbite," I quickly drops my finger and turn around.

"I'll be right back," I quickly run out into the hallway.

Soap looks at Ghost with concern and Ghost shakes his head. Nonverbally Soap tells him to follow after (y/n). Ghost nods and walks out to the hallway finding me at the end of it. They're trying to open the door to the stairs. Muttering curse words and stopping when I hear him walking towards me.

"Ghost, I can-" he opens the door for me with tired eyes.

"Move it," I step through and he lets the door close. I watch as he goes to remove his mask and I quickly shut off my body camera.

He holds my cheek as he lowers my mask and my heart races as he places his lips on mine. When he pulls away he looks into my sad eyes. I watch as he stands straight.

"What's the matter?" he asks.

"Shaken up is all," I give him a small smile, looking away and pulling my mask back up. "We should get going, they could be in trouble," he watches as I grab my gun from my back.

"Hey," I turn to look at him and he holds my shoulders, "Please take a deep breath,"

"Ghost i'm fine," I move his hands away but he places them back on my shoulders, this time squeezing tighter.

"Listen," I look at him as I drop my shoulders, "In," he takes a deep breath, "And out," he exhales and I repeat. "I need you fully focused," He nods and I roll my eyes giving him a nod. He takes his hands off my shoulder, pulling his mask down as I start walking down the stairs. He follows behind me.

"I haven't seen you in months, Ghost," I bite the inside of my lip, "I didn't hear from you," I shrug as he continues to follow, "I thought you were dead," I stop at the bottom of the stairs, standing by the door to a lower floor.

"Im sorry (y/n)," he says softly.

"I waited," I watch as he opens the door, going out into the hallway and looking both ways my gun raised. "Until I got the call to come join you on this mission," he listens as I check the rooms, he slowly follows, watching me, "I didn't even know you were alive until I saw you today,"

"I shouldn't have gone AWOL," he's quiet, regret in his words.

I shrug, "It happened," I stop to turn and look at him, "Just please don't do it again," he looks at my sad eyes and he gives me a small nod. Before looking past me and aiming his gun behind me.

I flinch as the bullet flies by my ear. As if in slow motion he quickly pulls me behind him. Walking forward and shooting all the men that are running towards them. I freeze as I watch in shock for a few seconds before shooting a few men.

"Fuck," I mutter, and he grabs my shoulder as I walk in front of him. Their guns are raised and I round the corner shooting someone running towards us.

"That's what I like to see," he whispers and I get butterflies in my stomach hearing his deep voice.

"Mhm," is all I can manage to say as I make my way down the hallway, talking into the walkie-talkie.

He watches. Even in all the gear (y/n) walks down the hallway as if they're on a runway. He admires them. His eyes go down their body as they continue walking. He drops his head with a smile, shaking it before walking down the hallway to catch up. Listening to them talk over the walkie with their sweet velvety voice. He can hear them smile as they greet one of the teams through the walkie.

"All accounted for?" his voice startles me and I quickly turn around, giving a small nod.

"These must have been stragglers," I shrug.

"You did great," I lower my mask and he smiles, holding the back of my neck, "Lets go," he continues to squeeze the back of my neck as we walk through the floor. It feels like a small massage the way he squeezes and let's go, guiding me through the hallways.

We converse and he wraps his arm around my shoulder. My arm around his waist. Catching up on what we've missed from each other's lives. I tell him how I've redecorated almost the whole house. While he tells me of the crazy missions he's gone on.

"I missed you," he stops walking to look at me making sure I know he means every word.

I smile and nod, "I missed you too," I say before I continue walking, but he doesn't follow so I stop, turning to look at him.

"And i'm sorry for not calling or sending you anything," I tilt my head, "That's an asshole move on my part," I snort, "It's true and-" he stops talking placing his arm out in front of my chest, stopping me from walking any further.
