I left Max to take his team photo and decided to go wait in his drivers room for him. I just walked in not expecting anyone to be inside by Jos was stood by the window, he turned to look at me with a look of disgust on his face.

"Oh I'm so sorry I didn't realise anyone would be in here" I said as I turned to leave.

"You know he'll realise soon enough" Jos replied stopping me in my tracks.

"Realise what?" I said confused.

"That he was better off with Kelly, you'll just hold him back" he replied smirking. I didn't give him the pleasure of seeing that his comment hurt I just smiled back and left the room.

As I walked out of the hospitality I heard Jos' voice behind me "I was talking to you" he said frustrated. He literally followed me out to continue the abuse.

"And I wasn't listening" I snapped back, I knew I shouldn't have been rude but quite frankly I was sick of everyone thinking they could comment in mine and Max's relationship.

"Rude little girl" he shouted at me. I literally spun round on the spot and stormed towards him

"What the hell is your problem" I practically spat the words at him I was so angry.

"I know a gold digger when I see one". Before I could even reply a voice came from behind me.

"Don't ever speak to my daughter like that" As I turned round my Dad my standing right behind me.

"Your son's lucky to have someone like her in his life" he continued. Before Jos could even reply my Dad raised his hand and continued. "Now if you don't mind I'd like to speak to my daughter privately" Jos walked off leaving us.

"Thank you" I said quietly, I felt so awkward it was the first time I'd even acknowledged him since Silverstone.

"I might not agree with your life choices Kaycee but I will never allow someone to speak to you like that" he said softly, he sounded genuinely sincere.

He gestured for me to walk with him so I did. After a while of walking in silence I saw Max talking to some engineers in the distance. My dad must of seen him aswell.

"Does he really make you that happy?" He asked looking down at me.

"Yes Dad" I said nodding. I could hear him sigh next to me but for the first time he didn't comment or lecture me.

"I want you to come back to Mercedes" he said changing the subject. "You'll get your old position back and be free to continue your relationship with Max" he continued probably sensing what my first question would be.

Before I could even reply Max approached us both. I couldn't help but think this was the worst timing.

"Hey" Max said as he put his arm around my waist and kissed my cheek.

My dad didn't even react.

"We're having a meal for Susie's birthday in a couple weeks. You should both come" he said looking at us both.

I was so taken back by it, practically speechless.

"We'll be there" Max said smiling.

"Great see you there, Have a think about what I said Kace" My dad said as he nodded at me and turned to walk off.

Max wrapped his other arm around me and pulled me in to kiss him. "Think about what?" He asked.

"He offered me my job back" I replied smiling.

But Max didn't look pleased about it. He dropped his arms and took a step back.

"What you're actually thinking of taking it?" He replied, his tone condescending.

I couldn't understand why he looked so annoyed, surely me getting my job back was a good thing.

"You know if you go back it will never work for us" he sighed at me.

"But why" I replied in confusion.

"We've finally got to a place where we're happy and your just going to let you Dad control your life again" I could hear the frustration in his voice.

"But I want to go back" saying it out loud made me realise how much I'd missed working there, I'd finally found something I was good at and I had the chance to prove myself.

"Do you know what do what you want I'm done" he replied as he just walked off leaving me in the paddock. I was so bewildered by what had just happened. Had I just been dumped for wanting to go back to Mercedes.

I went looking for Max around the paddock but everyone told me he'd left. I knew he planned on going straight to the airport after the race because we brought our stuff to the track with us, but we were meant to go together. I checked his drivers room to find his stuff gone but mine still there. He'd literally left me in the Netherlands on my own. I saw Lewis getting ready to leave with Angela so I went over to him. "Hey I know this is a bit weird but can I come with you to Italy?" I asked.

Lewis raised his eyebrows "of course you can" he said laughing.
