Luca's POV:
It was a regular evening in Luca's house. They had the TV on, playing the news. She wasn't paying much attention to it though. To Luca, the news was just background noise while she did literally anything else. Today, they were stitching up an old beanie of theirs.
Luca has had this beanie for a long time - her ex-partner gave it to her - & even though they don't talk anymore, the beanie still meant a lot to Luca. It was their favorite color, a light blue. Since she wore the beanie often, it's been showing some wear & tear. Luckily for them, they know how to sew. So, that's what they were doing.
"Done!" she smiled, throwing in the last stitch & tying it up, so that the thread wouldn't unwind itself. Luca put the newly-repaired beanie upon their head. "Good as new." Luca thought to herself, standing up to go upstairs. Before she could take another step, though, Luca started feeling light-headed. They fell onto the ground, unconscious.
Norma's POV:
"Ow, my head.."
Norma awoke in an unfamiliar place, & her head was throbbing with pain. Holding her palm over her forehead, she sat up in a bed that was not hers, in a house she did not recognize.
She looked around the area, but the headache she had was making her vision blurry. To the left of Norma, on the bedside table, was a cup of water & an aspirin. A note was left beside it, but Norma couldn't comprehend what it said yet. She grabbed the water & gulped down the aspirin, hoping it would cause her instant relief.
As most medicines do, the aspirin did not take immediate effect. It did make Norma feel better, though. Better enough to look at the note beside her. Rubbing her eyes, Norma took hold of the note & started reading it.
Dear Norma,
You might have a lot of questions as to where you are, & why you're here. Well, you see, you've been chosen along with fourteen other participants to play a real game of Town of Salem. You will be living within this town until there is a winning faction. Now you should know the basic rules of this game, but in case you forgot, or have no idea what Town of Salem is, then I'll explain.
All of your houses are placed within a circle. You will not be able to leave this circle, no matter how hard you try. The town center (the gallows) is where you will publicly execute the other participants you & your fellow peers believe to be evil. There is a path leading out to other parts of the town, such as a park, a market, & more.
Now, with every round of Town of Salem comes an assigned role. Your role will be the Investigator. You are a town member, investigating others to find out what they are. Inside the drawer next to your bed will be a pencil & a notebook. These will be used to write down your 'last will'. Use carefully.
Everyone else in the game has received a note similar to yours. Of course, some of them have slight differences. For example, a person who's in the Mafia will have also received a list of their fellow Mafia members. An Arsonist will have received some gasoline & a pack of matches. As an Investigator, you've been left with a magnifying glass to find other people's notes, but don't think it's that easy. The note will only appear to you what roles that person could be. Just like in the game.
Good luck~!
Sincerely,
Norma couldn't read who had signed the note, since the name seemed to be scratched out. Even if there was a name attached, that wouldn't have made the note less confusing to her. "Town of Salem..?" she mumbled to herself. "Isn't that that one game online?"
