Yn has a glance at herself from the mirror reflection.
She just wears a long sleeve tee and jeans. She puts light makeup on her face and she's done.
Yn throws herself onto her bed after she looks at her wristwatch.
She still has 30 minutes before Luna comes to fetch her.
While lying her body on the bed, her hands trying to reach for something under the pillow.
A smiles draw on her face when her hands reach a piece of photo.
"I miss both of you so much!!" Yn talks to the photo.
She runs her fingers on a couple of elders in the photo.
They smile happily at the camera.
Yn put the photo on her chest. She closes her eyes and slowly tears flow out.
"Yn, " Hyunjin open the door after a few knocks.
Yn still lying on the bed with her eyes close.
"Are you sleeping?" Hyunjin walks to her bed.
She saw Yn try to hold her sobbing while holding a photo on her chest.
Hyunjin started to panic.
She pulls her and makes her sit on the bed.
Yn still closes her eyes and her sobbing sound starts to fill the room.
Hyunjin takes her into a hug and pats her back slowly.
"Did you miss your Granny?" Hyunjin asks while she tries to calm her.
Yn nod her head.
"May I know why? Is there anyone hurt you?"
Yn remains silent.
Hyunjin knows, every time she is sad, she will hug the photo until she falls asleep.
"Do you need my help to kick someone's ass? " Hyunjin offers violence as a help to her.
Yn laughs in tiny.
She pulls herself from the hug and sends a smile to Hyunjin.
Hyunjin helps to wipe her tears.
"Who's that bad guy?" Hyunjin makes a serious face. But inside, she prays it's not Jungkook.
Yn only shakes her head.
"I just miss my granny." She answers slowly.
Hyunjin looks at Yn who gets up from the bed and went to sit on her makeup table. She tidies up her makeup here and there.
Hyunjin used to hate Yn during their study years. Because Yn's life seems to perfect in her eyes.
Even though she's been an orphan since she was aged 5, still she has a perfect life in Hyunjin eyes.
Her parents leave her with a lot of assets and her uncle helps her to run the business and assets on her behalf.
Not only that, she's got good grades, active in sports, and has the most popular guy in the college, Namjoon as her boyfriend.
Hyunjin also had a crush on him but she knows from the start she won't have a chance.
But everything was perfect only the first year. In the next year, a few incidents come into her fate and change her whole life.
Her uncle has been charged with assault and harassment of his staff.
The investigation of this charge leads to Yn's secret, that she is also one of his abuse victims.
Throughout the early five years, when she stay with her uncle, she had been abused physically and locked in a small dark room almost every day.
At the age of 10, her grandparents take her into their care but they don't proceed with police reports because they don't want to ruin their son's life.
Throughout her life, Yn has to bear her trauma alone, even her grandparents don't know about it.
She only starts to seek psychiatric help after her uncle was arrested.
Due to the charges, their business starts to face a problem, they lose customers and investors. In the same year, her family has been declaring as a bankruptcy.
Since that, Yn starts to skip class, she starts to work as a part-timer at the convenience store. If she turns up for a class, she was not the same Yn.
She prefers to take a seat in the back row alone and avoid the others.
Yn only talks to her best friends Luna, Vanessa, and her boyfriend, Namjoon.
When she starts to get used to her new life, another thing hits her hard.
Both of her grandparents were involved in an accident and they were in a coma state for a few weeks.
When they wake up from the coma, both of them lose their memories.
They don't remember anything about themselves and Yn.
Yn is not able to handle her study, part-time work, and taking care of her granny at the same time.
She decided to let go of her study and focus on her grandparents.
This is the starting point where Hyunjin starts to get close to Yn. She and other friends help Luna and Vanessa to convince Yn to agree to leave her grandparents at the old folk's house.
She needs to finish her study for her good.
And they made it.
Yn will come to visit her grandparents weekly and the good thing is both of her grandparents always waiting for her to come, even though they had lost all their memories of Yn.
Again, Yn starts a new life without her grandparents by her side but in their final year, fated prepares another plot in her life.
Vanessa, her best friend announces herself pregnant with Namjoon's child and they plan to get married before they sit their final exam.
Yn almost went crazy when she had to witness the wedding between her boyfriend with someone she use to call a best friend.
"How do I look? Do I look like a crybaby?" Yn ask Hyunjin's opinion.
"Sorry... Come again" Hyunjin back to the present time after spacing out to their old memories.
"Is it look too obvious on my face that I was crying just now?"
Hyunjin shakes her head.
Yn smiles at her response.
"I got to go now Hyunjin. Luna will be here in a few minutes." Yn wave goodbye to Hyunjin and left her in the room alone.
Hyunjin lets out a heavy breath.
If she were in her shoes, will she be able to smile as Yn does just now?
