Chapter Three

Gotham
9:00 am
2 days before the Wayne charity ball.
Melody's POV

"If you could take my pulse right now it would feel just like a sledgehammer" I sang while making myself breakfast. " If you could feel my heart beat nowIt would hit you like a sledgehammer" continuing the song. I put my breakfast on a plate just when I was going to dig in the door bell rang. I sighed my life is so sad. Not really but you know what I mean. "Package for Melody Crane" said a delivery man. I signed for the package. I'm so excited, not for the package. I finally get to eat my Breakfast. I turned the tv on to Nick Toons and watch LOK (Legends of Korra). "Ya Korra kick Kuviras butt" I said finishing my food. After I was done I washed my dish. As I was about to continue the show I was interrupted by the phone. "Melody Crane speaking" I say. "Melody" I recognize that voice "Zoe" I say. "Oh my god Melody Its been so long" she said. "I know we should hangout sometime" I say. "I know that's why I called but I assume your busy" she said. "Actually I'm free" I say. "Really" she said surprised "Ya". After like an hour planing talking about random stuff I hung up. I guess I have to explain. Zoe is my best friend. We meet in kindergarten and we instantly became friends. Nothing can separate us from each other.

At Gotham's mall
Melody's POV

I was walking to the food court looking around trying to find Zoe. "Melody" I turned around. "Oh my god Zoe I missed you" walking up to her. "Ya well it's your fault for leaving" she said. We walked around picking out cute outfits. She even got a dress for the Wayne charity ball. My dress was the package I got this morning. I was so happy my friend was still here. With all the crimes here she could be dead.
Suddenly I heard alarms and a group of people with guns heading our way.

I'm so sorry for the wait and that its so short. Its been like 500 years that way off but you get the point. I want to thank you for being so patient. Also thanks for all the reads and votes. Im also very excited tomorrow is my birthday. Next weekend is my birthday party so I'll probably update two weeks from now. Or who knows I'll probably take 500 more years.
