Chapter Four

Melody's POV

I pulled Zoe into the nearest store which happens to be a Hot topic. Everyone was freaking out. But soon police started to come in. Soon the robbers were arrested. No one was hurt. "You ladies ok" asked one of them he was in a nice casual suit. He seemed around my age maybe a little older. "Yeah we're fine" I said. "James Gordon" he said "Melody Crane" I said. "Zoe Yoder" Zoe said. We shook hands then I saw that guy Edward I think his name was. He works for the GCPD? That's a surprise I walked up to him. "Hey your that guy who I bumped into the other day" I said. He looked at me as if he was wondering why I was talking to him. "I just came back to Gotham a few weeks ago. I just want to make new friends" I said. He didn't seem interested in me "Can I ask you a question"He asked me. "Sure" "What comes down but never goes up" he asked. A riddle not to mention an easy one. "Rain" I say, he looks a little surprised. "What I love riddles I find the fascinating and very entertaining" I said.
I wrote down my number and handed it to him. I walked away and mouthed 'Call Me'. Soon me and Zoe left of course we decided to have a sleep over.

Melody's POV

So it's 9:00 pm and I can tell Zoe is bored. I mean we're both on our phone we would go somewhere but it's Gotham it's not the safest place. "Hey you know what we should do" I said. "Wha?" She asked, "Mattress surfing" I said with a smirk. "Your on" she said making it a competition. We took a mattress and I rode it like a surf board while she sat down. "Wimp" I said, "Hey I'm a little rusty" she said. "So that was fun" I said. "Ya" she said, an awkward silence filled the air. Suddenly the phone rang "Me will get that" I said. "Your English is on fleek" she said. "Hello" I said answering the phone. "Melody, I need your help". "I'm on my way" I said.

Melody's POV

"So you called me because of girl trouble" I said. "Exactly" Bruce said, "I got you little bro" I said. "I want to buy her everything she needs for the ball" he said. "Oh I know what you need" Zoe said from behind me. "She wants to feel like a princess" she said. "I don't know if-" Bruce was cut off. "Trust me I was an emo once then I met a guy who promised me the world" she said. "What happened" Bruce asked, "We broke up but I felt happy and that's all it took for me to cry for hours" she said. "Thanks guys for the advice" Bruce said. "Your welcome, I know this is cliche but be yourself" I said. "Ok" was all he said. We got in my car "I can't wait for the ball" she said. "Me to Zoe me to" I said.

I am so so sorry for not updating in forever. But I did it sooo anyway I had like this writers block and I spent what like what somewhat 5 months on this. I know it's not long but it's something. So anyway who else watch Gotham Monday. I did I was kinda sad there's was only one part with Ed but we go some Jerome and if you ask me he is hot like 😍😍😍😍 hot.
