Warm beams of light slip through parted shades, the light resting upon my closed eyes. A cool breeze escapes from the parted window, brushing up against my cheek and nose. I feel warm, encapsulated in a comforting embrace. One of my arms and shoulder being weighed down, the other wrapped around a warm body. I feel a warm arm wrapped around my core, a face pushed against my chest. As my senses wake up, my nose is filled with that heavenly scent. I flutter my eyes, shining their deep green color as the light strikes them. My eyes travel down, we're still tangled together. Ethan, I think to myself. I couldn't help but smile to myself. I thought it was a dream last night. But waking up in each other's embrace had proven me wrong.

Our legs remained intertwined, his arms wrapped around me and mine around him, his face buried in my chest. His black, fluffy hair brushed against my cheek with each breath. It tickled, but I didn't dare move from my position. His breaths were deep, and slight snoring sounds escaped his nose. He was still fast asleep. I glanced my eyes to my nightstand, my phone placed face down. I slowly and lightly raise my arm, trying ever so delicately to reach for my phone to check the time. It was the weekend and I didn't have anything going on for the day. But I didn't know about Ethan. Plus, it looked like the sun had just risen, meaning it had to be around 7 a.m.

I slowly reach my hand over to my phone and pick it up, 7:13. Ah, well I was close. My body shifts slightly as I put my phone back down, and Ethan moves, slightly tightening his grasp around me. How sweet. I take a deep breath and wrap my arm around him once again. I was settling into sleep a little longer.
