After some dinner, we headed upstairs for bed. I wasn't sure if Raphael was staying for the night, so I asked my mom. She replied with an unexpected,
"Of course! He was like family to your father, you and him will share the bed in the guest room."This was so unexpected that I stood there speechless for a few minutes after she left. My parents were always strict about me and boys, so why would they be letting me SLEEP IN THE SAME BED AS ONE. This question resonated with me as I walked over to the guest room where I Rapael was standing.
"So I guess you heard?" he sighed.
"Yes I did." I roll my eyes and walk past him."You know, if it makes you that uncomfortable then I can sleep on the floor." he offers. At least I know he's not a total jerk.
"Sure. Sleep on the floor." I shrug.
It's funny how easily I can hide my emotions when I try.
