Hearing the words coming from my mothers mouth, I froze. It was like the entire thing was happening in slow motion.
The smile on Miracles face dropped within a second, and in that second, all of it came crashing down on me.
I was going to tell her. As soon as I saw Arista again, I was going to let her go. Finding my mate had changed me. Changed everything. Now I blew it.
I should've just told her.
Banging and screaming for what seem like hours, getting no reply. I gave in. Walking away was hard to do.
Now here I sit in my room with my brothers and parents barraging me with questions that I have no answer to. What can I say? That I thought I had enough time? That I didn't say a word because Talon was putting her through enough shit already?
No! This is all on me. What's even harder about all of this is that I promised Arista a forever. We've been dating for years, I told her that she would always be mine, that I would always be hers. For Forever.
But once I met Miracle, once I seen her, Arista wasn't even on my mind. It was all her. Miracle was all consuming.

"Why didn't you tell her?" My dad Parker ask me, he's a wolf like me, he's an honorable man. No doubt he's disappointment in me at this very moment, which hurts me even more. He's a strong King Alpha, one that I look up to and want to be like. He sets a great example. I failed him in so many ways.
"I was going to." What else can I say? I keep repeating the same line to them over and over again. I have no answers.
They all go quiet, looking at them all, I see the disappointment they have for me all over their faces. Getting tired of all the questions, I get up from my bed as I do we all hear a loud resounding boom!
Shocking all of us, we stand there immobile just staring at each other confusingly.
Once we came to our senses we hurriedly run out of the room, Lucias trips over me on the way out. Not stopping to help him I run for Miracles room. Scared that she might be hurt or even in some type of danger.
Mom takes the key, unlocks the door, we all rush in to a disaster. There's a hole in the wall where the window use to be. Wood and glass scattered everywhere. Running over to the hole we all look out but we see nothing but the daunting darkness.
"She escaped!" My dad Parker says. With wonder in his eyes. Most likely praising her bravery.
"We need to go after her, Lucias go to the left side, Talon to the right, Brack come with me through the back." We all leave out to go find her. Malik stays behind unfortunately he's too weak to go after her.
